The REDARC Dual Sensing Smart Start Battery Isolator SBI12D (12V 100A) is a microprocessor-controlled dual battery isolator designed to manage the charging of auxiliary batteries in 12V systems. It ensures that the start battery is protected from excessive discharge by isolating it from the auxiliary battery when the engine is off, while allowing the auxiliary battery to power non-essential loads.
Once the start battery reaches a predetermined voltage, the SBI12D automatically connects both batteries, allowing the auxiliary battery to be charged. This system is ideal for vehicles with dual battery setups, such as 4WDs, RVs, and marine applications.
