WHY YOU NEED A COMPLIANT WHIP ON SITE

Every WA and QLD mine site requires a high-visibility whip and LED marker on any light vehicle entering the pit — usually 2.4 m or 3.6 m off the ground, red or amber, with a compliant flag. Turn up without one and you're back at the gate. Acot500 whips meet the standard and carry site-issued conformance IDs.

ACOT500 1.2M WHIP WITH TOP LED

A 1.2 m spring-loaded fibreglass whip with a compliant red or orange flag and a single 12V top-mounted LED beacon. Quick-release base means the whip pops off in five seconds for the drive home — no whip clatter on the freeway, no fuel-economy tax on the highway leg.

ACOT500 WHIP + 60CM LED LIGHT STRIP

The 60 cm LED light strip version replaces the single beacon with a full-length illuminated strip — visible from further out at dusk and dawn shift changes. 12V constant, mounted on the same quick-release base as the plain flag version, and swappable across the same bracket.

WHERE TO MOUNT IT

Bullbar side-tab is the standard mount on a Landcruiser or HiLux — sits clear of the recovery gear and doesn't catch the awning. Tray-side rail on a canopy build works too. Wire the LED off a switched circuit through the bullbar's accessory harness; if your bullbar doesn't have one, we sell the pigtails and switches to add one.

Yes. The Acot500 1.2m whip with quick-release base is built to standard Australian mine-site visibility requirements. Confirm the exact spec (flag colour, LED, height) with your site induction before you fit.
Day-only sites are fine with the plain flag. Sites that run 24 hours or need visibility in dust and low light need the 60cm LED strip version — a lit whip is visible where a flag isn't.
Yes. The quick-release fitting lets you drop the whip when leaving site or entering a workshop, without tools. The base stays bolted to the vehicle.
The Acot500 LED strip whips run on 12V or 24V and wire in like any accessory light — a switched positive and earth. Wire through a switch on the dash or an auxiliary rocker panel.
