Case size and terminal layout have to match your car exactly — an L is left-hand positive, an R is right-hand positive, and they're not interchangeable. Common Japanese fitments (Toyota, Mazda, Nissan) run NS40Z through 75D23. European and modern locally-built cars usually take a DIN size (DIN44L up to DIN65RH). CCA (cold-cranking amps) is how hard the battery can hit the starter motor on a cold morning — a NS60L is 430 CCA, a DIN65RH is 660. RC (reserve capacity, minutes) is how long the battery can run the car's accessories with the engine off. AH (amp-hours at 20-hour rate) is the total energy in the box. Bigger everything is always better, provided the case size fits.

Modern cars need the new battery registered to the BMS — fit it wrong and the stop-start won't work, the charging strategy stays soft, and the new battery is flat in six months.
