A 4WD battery lives a harder life than a car battery. Corrugations shake the plates loose, engine bay heat cooks the electrolyte, and a winch pull can pull 400A out of it in seconds. The Century Overlander uses thicker plates, denser paste and a heavy-duty envelope separator to handle all three. It's the battery we've been putting into touring builds for years.

N70ZZ (85 Ah, ~720 CCA) is the standard fit for most Toyota, Nissan and Ford 4WDs. N70ZZX Ultra Hi Performance (95 Ah, ~810 CCA) is the step up when you've added a winch, second battery draw, or you're chasing more cold-cranking margin. DIN75LH suits the newer Euro-fitment 4WDs like late-model Prados. Give us the rego and we'll confirm before you order.

The Overlander (N70ZZLXHD, N70ZZXHD, DIN75LHHD) is Century's heavy-duty 4WD range — MF calcium chemistry, reinforced case, made for the corrugations. Australian-made, Australian-warranted, and the battery we recommend when the vehicle is going remote. If you're running a fridge, lights or camp gear off the starter battery, don't fix it with a bigger starter — fix it with a dual battery setup. A [DC-DC charger](/collections/dc-chargers-managers) and a dedicated auxiliary battery keeps the starter for starting and gives you a house bank for accessories. It's the right way to run a touring 4WD, and it's what most of our builds look like.
