AGM OR FLOODED DEEP CYCLE — WHICH SUITS ME?

AGM is sealed, vibration-tolerant and can mount in any orientation — the standard for touring and canopy fitouts. Flooded lead-acid is cheaper per amp-hour but needs venting, upright mounting and periodic water top-ups — better suited to sheds and stationary house banks.

CAN I USE A DEEP CYCLE BATTERY TO START MY VEHICLE?

Not reliably. Deep cycle batteries are built to give steady current over hours, not the huge cranking burst a starter motor needs. Century Dual Force+ is one exception — a dual-purpose battery designed to do both — but a purpose-built starter is always the better choice.

WHAT DOES DUAL FORCE+ ACTUALLY MEAN?

Century Dual Force+ is a dual-purpose AGM designed to crank an engine and cycle daily as an auxiliary — handy for a single-battery ute running a fridge, or a marine setup where space only allows one battery.

WHY WOULD I RUN 6V BATTERIES IN A HOUSE BANK?

Two 6V golf-cart batteries wired in series give you 12V with thicker plates and better deep-cycle life than one equivalent 12V. It's the traditional serious-off-grid setup — heavier and taller, but built to be discharged and recharged for years.

DO YOU OFFER LOCAL PICK UP?

Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and we'll call when your order is ready (usually 1-3 days). Please wait for our confirmation before driving down; we don't stock every SKU on the shelf. Address: 1/6 Radius Loop, Bayswater WA 6053. Open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING TIMES?

Domestic delivery within Australia is typically 2-8 business days depending on carrier and destination. International orders vary 2-30+ business days by country. We don't ship to PO boxes as most couriers don't deliver to them.
