12V & 24V Reversing Alarms in Perth

Heavy-duty backup alarms for trucks, utes, trailers, 4WDs and machinery — Baxters twin-mount and single-mount alarms, 12V to 80V rated, 102dB output. Choice of traditional beeper tone or squawker sound for mine-spec and site work.

WHY 102dB

A weak $10 reversing beeper you can't hear over a running diesel isn't doing its job. The Baxters range on this page runs a proper 102dB output rated for wide-voltage industrial and automotive use — loud enough on a work site, on a farm or reversing a caravan in a busy campground. Compliance-grade for many workplace and mining site requirements.

BEEPER OR SQUAWKER

The traditional "beep-beep-beep" tone is the pick for suburban and general use — it's the sound everyone recognises. The squawker (broadband white noise) is used on mine sites and heavy machinery because it locates faster and doesn't propagate as far, so it's less annoying to neighbours. Some sites specifically require one or the other — check before you buy.

SINGLE OR TWIN MOUNT

Single-mount units bolt on flat and suit most 4WD, ute and trailer installs. Twin-mount alarms sit on two studs for a more secure fit on trucks and machinery that vibrate hard. Both are sealed for outdoor use and wired to the reverse light circuit.

WIRING IT IN

The alarm wires straight to the reverse light positive and to chassis negative. On a trailer or caravan it takes power from the reverse pin of the trailer plug. Wide-voltage 12V to 80V rating means the same unit works on cars, trucks and forklifts without a converter.

FAQS

12V & 24V Reversing Alarms in Perth

Common questions about buzzers & beepers, answered by our Perth auto electricians.

Yes. The Baxters range is 102dB and meets the requirements of most WA mine sites. Check your specific site standard for pitch (traditional beeper vs squawker) before choosing.
The traditional beeper is the loud, repetitive tone most sites still require. Squawker (also called broadband) produces a wider-frequency 'shhh' pulse that's easier on the ears and travels better in built-up yards — check with your safety officer.
The Baxters units are rated 12V to 80V, so the same alarm suits utes, trucks and heavy plant without a reducer. Wire it to the reverse light feed with a fused positive.
Twin-mount alarms are designed for one speaker each side of the tow bar or trailer chassis so the sound projects behind both quarters. Use the supplied brackets and keep the speakers clear of the exhaust and mud.
Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and we'll call when your order is ready (usually 1–3 days). Please wait for our confirmation before driving down; we don't stock every SKU on the shelf. Address: 1/6 Radius Loop, Bayswater WA 6053. Open Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
Domestic delivery within Australia is typically 2–8 business days depending on carrier and destination. International orders vary 2–30+ business days by country. We don't ship to PO boxes as most couriers don't deliver to them.
