12V POWER DISTRIBUTION SPECIALISTS

Fuse Blocks, Bus Bars & Distribution Hubs in Perth

DC power distribution for dual-battery and canopy builds — Egon DC-Hub distribution boxes, Victron Lynx Distributor and 500A/50mV shunt, Elevate-branded 6- and 12-way fuse blocks with LED blown-fuse indication, and Zeeman Midi fuses and holders for the main battery-side protection.

WHY DISTRIBUTION MATTERS IN A CANOPY

A canopy build with a fridge, lights, water pump, inverter, USB outlets and a DC-DC charger draws off half a dozen circuits — running each of those back to the battery with its own inline fuse is how you end up with a tangle of wire and blown fuses you can't find. A distribution block puts every circuit through one location, one fuse each, LED indication if one pops.

EGON DC-HUB — CANOPY DISTRIBUTION

The Egon DC-Hub is the neatest way to wire a dual-battery canopy. It's a single sealed unit with pre-fused positive and negative bus bars, IP-rated, and mounts to a canopy wall with two bolts. The DC-Hub 2.1 Combo Kit adds the bracket and cover; the DC-Hub DUAL Combo Kit doubles the positive bar for larger builds with multiple lithium banks.

VICTRON LYNX DISTRIBUTOR + SHUNT

For Victron-integrated systems, the Lynx Distributor (M10 studs) gives four paralleled positions on a single busbar with individual Mega-fuse protection and blown-fuse LEDs, modular with Lynx Power In and Lynx BMS units. Pair it with the Victron 500A/50mV shunt for accurate current sensing back to a BMV-712 or SmartShunt.

FUSE BLOCKS AND MIDI FUSES

For simpler builds our own 6-way and 12-way fuse blocks with negative bus bar, red LED blown-fuse indication and pre-loaded blade fuses cover most touring setups. Zeeman 30–80A Midi fuses and holders, plus Projecta and Baxters fused battery-terminal distribution posts, handle the main battery-side protection between the crank battery and the DC-DC — sized to your cable, not just what fits.

FITTED AT OUR PERTH WORKSHOP

We wire full distribution setups every week at 1/6 Radius Loop, Bayswater — everything labelled, every circuit fused at the correct amperage for its cable size, main-side Midi or Mega between battery and DC-DC, and a proper wiring diagram sent with the invoice so the next sparky who touches it knows what's where. See our /collections/dc-dc-chargers and /collections/lithium-batteries for the rest of the canopy build.
FAQS

Fuse Blocks, Bus Bars & Distribution Hubs in Perth

Common questions about power distribution, answered by our Perth auto electricians.

A hub turns one battery terminal into a fused, labelled feed for every accessory — fridge, lights, water pump, inverter, DC-DC. Instead of a pile of piggyback connections and inline fuses, everything runs to one plate you can service.
A bus bar is just a common connection point — no protection. A fuse block has an individual fuse per circuit. Every positive feed needs a fuse near the battery; the bus bar is for negatives coming back.
Yes. Every positive cable leaving the battery must be fused within 300mm of the battery post, and every branch to an accessory needs its own fuse sized to the smallest cable in that branch. It's what stops a shorted wire from setting the vehicle on fire.
The Egon DC-Hub is designed around 4WD and canopy builds — mounts the DC-DC, isolator and fuse block on one plate. The Victron Lynx is a modular bus system for larger 24V/48V lithium banks and off-grid setups. Both work well; pick by the system you're building.
Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and we'll call when your order is ready (usually 1–3 days). Please wait for our confirmation before driving down; we don't stock every SKU on the shelf. Address: 1/6 Radius Loop, Bayswater WA 6053. Open Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
Domestic delivery within Australia is typically 2–8 business days depending on carrier and destination. International orders vary 2–30+ business days by country. We don't ship to PO boxes as most couriers don't deliver to them.
