We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

If you decide to cancel the order while it is in transit, your refund will include the item cost minus a 5% restocking fee, minus the original shipping cost, and minus any redirection fee charged by the shipping company.

1. Change of Mind

If you change your mind or ordered the wrong product, please contact us. If it’s within 14 days of receiving the item and the product is in its original condition and packaging, we will issue a refund for the item excluding the delivery fee and a 5% restocking fee.

You are responsible for the return shipping cost, unless you return it in person to our Bayswater store or arrange your own courier.

Returns are only accepted if the product is:

  • In original packaging
  • Unfitted and unused
  • Resealable

We cannot accept returns or offer credit for items that:

  • Are not in original packaging
  • Have been fitted
  • Are non-resealable
  • Have been manufactured or modified specifically for you (e.g. cable cut to length)

1.1 Refund Policy for Orders with Waiting Periods

If you place an order and agree to a waiting period (either via our product page or direct communication), and later choose to cancel, a 5% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.


1.2 Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned, including:

  • Custom products (e.g. special orders, cable, conduit)
  • Sale items
  • Gift cards

If you're unsure, contact us before purchasing.


2. Faulty Items

If your item is faulty, please contact us to describe the issue. Our technicians may walk you through troubleshooting steps to determine if the product is faulty.

If the fault is confirmed within the valid warranty period, you may return the item. You will initially be responsible for return shipping. If the product is confirmed faulty, you will be reimbursed for return postage.

International customers: You are responsible for all shipping costs related to returning and receiving replacement items.

Once received, your item will be assessed by our technician. Some brands require the item to be sent to the manufacturer for evaluation, which may take time beyond our control.

If the item is:

  • Faulty: You will receive a replacement, repair, or refund (excluding shipping fees).
  • Not faulty: No refund or replacement will be issued, and a redelivery fee will apply.
Warranty does not apply if:
  • Product failure is caused by incorrect installation or misuse
  • Product is modified or damaged
  • Failure is due to other component failures or environmental damage
  • The warranty period has expired
  • You have simply changed your mind

Warranty periods are set by the manufacturer and vary. If unspecified, assume 3 months.


3. International Orders

If you purchase using a non-AUD currency and request a refund, we will refund you the original AUD purchase amount based on the exchange rate at the time of purchase. Currency fluctuations may cause differences in converted values.

Faulty items: International customers are responsible for all shipping costs to return the faulty item and receive a repaired or replacement unit.


4. Rotating Electrics Purchases

Purchasing starter motors or alternators confirms you have selected the correct item for your vehicle. Returns are not accepted once the product has been fitted, whether due to change of mind or fitment issues.

All warranties are subject to the manufacturer's policy, which may require:

  • Removal and return of the unit to Elevate Automotive
  • Evaluation by the manufacturer

5. Refund Information

Approved refunds are processed within 7 days.

We do not reimburse:

  • Consequential losses
  • Labour or fitment costs
  • Any other incidental expenses

By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that you are responsible for selecting the correct product for your application and do not rely on Elevate Automotive for product advice, selection, or fitment guidance.
