The Bushman DF30-HD is a genuine 12V drawer freezer, sized to slide into a 4WD canopy, ute drawer system or camper trailer. Bushman rate it for -18°C deep freezing in ambients up to 45°C, and +4°C refrigeration in ambients up to 50°C. Ice cream in the Simpson is Bushman's own line, and the numbers back it up.
It runs a genuine Secop Danfoss BD35HD compressor, a 60W unit on a variable speed drive drawing up to 7.5A on 12V. Power consumption sits at around 0.5 Ah/hr at 4°C in a 25°C ambient, rising to 3.8 Ah/hr running as a freezer at -18°C in 45°C heat. Twin cross-flow heat extraction fans keep the compressor cavity cool, and closed cell insulation up to 3 inches thick around the tub is what makes the extreme performance possible.
Storage is a single 25 litre drawer tub with 100% stainless steel drawer runners, all-steel hardware and a slam latch that holds shut on corrugations. Mount it three ways: the supplied HD L brackets, internal mounting sleeves, or the M5 threaded nut inserts on each side for custom brackets. It also stacks with the DF40-HD using the Bushman Double Stack Kit if you want a fridge and a freezer side by side or one on top of the other.
Wire it on its own dedicated circuit straight back to the battery bank. The fridge comes with a 1.5 metre Anderson lead fitted.
