Plenty of brands make a wall box that pushes AC into a car. The reason to buy Victron is if you already have Victron gear — MultiPlus, Cerbo GX, MPPT solar controllers — and want the EV charger to talk to it. That lets the charger throttle up when the sun's out, throttle down when the house load spikes, and never draw more than your inverter can handle.

The NS ("no screen") variant is the cost-effective pick when you're controlling and monitoring the charger from your Victron system rather than the wall unit itself. Type 2 socket, up to 22kW three-phase or 7.4kW single-phase, and full integration with the Cerbo GX and VRM portal. Set schedules, priority modes and load limits from your phone.

An EV charger is only half the story — the other half is what feeds it.
