DATA THE DASH DOESN'T SHOW YOU

The factory dash gives you speed, fuel level and a check engine light — nothing about EGT, boost, transmission temperature, instant fuel burn or the actual reason the CEL is on. A ScanGauge plugs into the OBD-II port and pulls live PID data straight from the ECU, giving you the gauges that matter for towing, remote touring and diagnosing an intermittent fault before you're stuck with it.

SCANGAUGE II vs SCANGAUGE III

The ScanGauge II Performance Monitor is the compact four-gauge unit with a monochrome display and up to 15 configurable parameters — proven for over 15 years and the choice if you want a small unit tucked on the dash. The ScanGauge III Vehicle Monitor is the current generation: colour display, up to 8 gauges on a single screen, quicker refresh, and a friendlier interface for building custom X-Gauges for parameters the manufacturer didn't publish.

SCANGAUGE — WHY WE STOCK IT

ScanGauge has been building OBD-II monitors longer than most brands have existed, and the community-driven X-Gauge library means there are already known-good custom PIDs for the vehicles our customers drive — LandCruiser 200 and 300, Prado 150, Ranger, D-Max, Y62 Patrol and more. Firmware updates are free and the units are supported for years.

CLEARING CODES ON THE TRACK

When a check engine light comes on 400km from anywhere, the ScanGauge reads and clears the diagnostic trouble code so you can decide whether it's safe to keep going or worth turning back. It doesn't replace a full workshop scan tool, but it does mean you're not blind — and paired with EGT and boost X-Gauges it'll show you a boost leak or a blocked DPF before it becomes a tow-truck job.

FITTED AT OUR PERTH WORKSHOP

Mounting the ScanGauge cleanly, running the OBD lead behind the trim and configuring the gauges you actually want takes about an hour. We do this every week at our workshop at 1/6 Radius Loop, Bayswater WA 6053 — book in and drive home with a set-up unit already reading the right PIDs.
