The Bushman DF40-HD is the companion drawer fridge to the DF30-HD deep freezer. Same external footprint, same slam-latch drawer hardware, but tuned for refrigeration rather than deep freezing: +4°C in ambients up to 50°C, and -10°C freezing in ambients up to 40°C. Where the DF30-HD gives you 25 litres of tub for a proper freezer, the DF40-HD trades some freezer capability for 35 litres of storage.
It runs a genuine Secop Danfoss BD50K compressor with the same 7-year Bushman warranty as the rest of the HD range. Power consumption sits at around 0.6 Ah/hr at 4°C in a 25°C ambient, rising to 2.0 Ah/hr running as a freezer at -10°C in 40°C heat. Twin cross-flow heat extraction fans and closed cell insulation up to 2 inches thick keep the compressor cavity cool.
Storage is a single 35 litre drawer tub with 100% stainless steel drawer runners, all-steel hardware and a slam latch. Mount it three ways: the supplied L brackets, internal mounting sleeves, or the M6 captive nuts on each side for custom brackets. It stacks with the DF30-HD using the Bushman Double Stack Kit if you want a fridge and a freezer together.
Wire it on its own dedicated circuit straight back to the battery bank. The fridge comes with a 1.5 metre Anderson lead fitted.
