At the core of the kit is REDARC’s highly trusted BCDC1240D, a 40A DC to DC charger designed to keep your auxiliary battery charged via both alternator and solar inputs. Alongside it, the EGON DC Hub and Fuse Kit provide an ultra-simple, centralised system for managing inputs and outputs—no specialist wiring knowledge required.
With its plug-and-play design, the EGON DC Hub drastically reduces installation time. Everything from your solar panel, AC charger, and DC charger connects directly into one sturdy, fused hub. It also simplifies wiring to accessories like fridges, compressors, and lighting—making it perfect for 4WDs, caravans, and campers.
The REDARC BCDC1240D features Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) for optimal solar charging, and ‘Green Power Priority’ technology that prioritises solar input to reduce load on your vehicle’s alternator. It's compatible with all types of batteries and works seamlessly with vehicles fitted with smart alternators.
You also have the option to add a 1200W Victron Phoenix Inverter or a 2000W REDARC Pure Sine Wave Inverter, both available with appropriate ANL fuses and holders. These inverters provide reliable 240V power on the go—perfect for powering laptops, appliances, or tools while you're off-grid.
The included EGON DC-Hub Fuse Kit ensures safe and efficient installation, with all the essential fuses and holders you’ll need, plus a few spares to cover most setups.
