A 12V strip light with two colours in one housing, both of them dimmable, and no separate controller to mount or wire. It suits a canopy, a camper, an awning or a work ute, anywhere you want usable light without adding a switch panel to get it.
Two switches are built into the right-hand end of the casing, one orange for the amber and one white for the white. They operate independently. Press white and you get white, press amber and you get amber, press both and you get both together. Hold either switch and that colour dims through five brightness levels, and each colour keeps its own setting, so you can set the amber low for a quiet camp while full white remains one press away for working.
Amber is generally the colour that stays on after dark. It is considerably easier on your eyes than white at close range, and it preserves your night vision when you are looking for something in the canopy.
Wiring is a two-core tail off the end, direct to 12V. No controller, no data wire, no dimmer module to find a home for. This light is 12V only. Do not run it on a 24V system, even through a fused circuit.
It is IP67 sealed against dust and water, so it is suitable for external mounting or in a canopy that sees dust and washdowns.
Three sizes, and the two numbers on each are different measurements. The size in the name is the lit length of the LEDs. The casing is longer, because the switches are built into the end of it. Measure your space against the casing figure, not the LED figure:
- 300mm of LEDs, 360mm of casing
- 600mm of LEDs, 672mm of casing
- 900mm of LEDs, 1002mm of casing
Each light has a 3mm mounting hole at either end. On the 900mm we recommend backing it with double-sided adhesive tape or a bead of Sikaflex along the housing in addition to the end fixings. Neither is supplied.
