The REDARC Smart Start SBI12-LLD Load Disconnect Isolator is a microprocessor-controlled device designed to protect lithium (LiFePO₄) auxiliary batteries from excessive discharge. It automatically disconnects non-essential loads when the battery voltage drops below a safe threshold, ensuring the battery remains above the level at which internal protection circuitry would activate. Once the battery voltage recovers, the isolator reconnects the loads, maintaining optimal battery health.
