A 3mm aluminium bracket that holds the ARB twin on-board compressor inside the rear driver's side quarter panel of a Toyota Landcruiser 78 Series. Fits the ARB CKMTA12 twin and the earlier CKMA single-head compressor. Mounts around the factory vent without removal, so the vent stays in place and the compressor sits hidden in the rear quarter.

Laser-cut and folded from 3mm aluminium with four mounting points that pick up on existing cavity ribs. Natural raw aluminium finish, bare metal, no paint. The plate measures roughly 300 by 200mm and the folded flange adds about 60mm of standoff from the cavity wall.

The compressor and its wiring loom are not included. Fitment is rear right-hand side only; left-hand drive conversions and left-hand mounts need a mirrored bracket. The ARB loom runs forward through the rear quarter trim to the battery, so plan the cable path before drilling.

Q: What does this bracket actually do?
It holds the ARB on-board compressor inside the rear right-hand quarter panel of a Toyota Landcruiser 78 Series. The compressor sits hidden behind the trim, out of the way of recovery gear and cargo.

Q: Which ARB compressors does it fit?
Fits the ARB CKMTA12 twin compressor, the single-head CKMA, and the smaller CKSA. All three share the same mounting hole pattern.

Q: Does the compressor come with the bracket?
No, the bracket is the mounting plate only. The ARB compressor is sold separately through ARB dealers.

Q: Do I need to remove the factory vent to install it?
No, the plate is pre-cut around the vent opening so the OE vent stays in place. That keeps the cabin side looking factory.

Q: Which side of the vehicle does it fit?
Rear right-hand side only, inside the quarter panel on the driver's side of a right-hand-drive 78 Series. Left-hand drive vehicles need a mirrored bracket.

Q: Will it fit a 79 Series ute?
No. The 78 Series Troop Carrier quarter panel is a different shape to the 79 Series ute tray and canopy. 79 Series needs its own bracket.

Q: What material is it made from and why bare aluminium?
3mm aluminium plate, raw and unpainted. Aluminium is light enough to lift one-handed and does not rust in the humid rear-cavity environment behind the inner trim. Powder-coating is skipped because the mount is hidden and raw aluminium does not chip when the compressor is bolted on.

Q: What hardware comes in the box?
The bracket only. Supply your own M6 bolts, nylocs and washers to suit the panel-rib fixing points, plus bolts to match the ARB compressor foot pattern.

Q: Can I install it myself?
Yes if you are comfortable pulling the rear quarter trim and drilling the four fixing holes. Plan the compressor wiring run forward to the battery before drilling.
