Description

The Elevate Automotive 200W 80V Solar Panel is a high-efficiency solar solution designed for 12V, 24V and 48V off-grid power systems. Built using advanced Monocrystalline HPBC solar cell technology, this panel delivers reliable power output and strong performance even in demanding environments.

With a high 80V open circuit voltage, this panel is designed to work exceptionally well with modern MPPT solar regulators, allowing them to operate in their optimal efficiency range. This results in more effective charging performance compared to many traditional low-voltage panels.

Designed with durability in mind, the panel features a black anodized aluminium frame for strength and corrosion resistance, while MC4-style connectors allow for easy integration into existing solar systems.

Its slim 30mm profile and practical size make it well suited for installations on 4WDs, caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes, boats and off-grid power systems.

Ideal For

  • 4WD touring setups

  • Caravan and camper trailer power systems

  • Off-grid cabins and remote power setups

  • Marine and boat installations

  • 12V, 24V and 48V solar systems using MPPT controllers

Why High Voltage Solar Panels Are Better

High-voltage solar panels offer several advantages over traditional low-voltage panels, particularly in vehicle and off-grid applications.

Better MPPT Efficiency
Modern MPPT solar regulators perform best when they receive higher input voltage. A higher voltage panel gives the regulator more overhead to convert solar energy into usable charging current, allowing the system to operate closer to peak efficiency.

Improved Charging in Poor Conditions
As panels heat up or light levels drop, voltage naturally decreases. Starting with a higher voltage means the system can continue charging effectively even during cloudy weather, early mornings, late afternoons, or high temperatures.

Less Voltage Drop Over Distance
Higher voltage systems are less affected by voltage drop in wiring. This means longer cable runs from roof panels to regulators without significant efficiency loss, which is especially useful in caravans, motorhomes and larger touring vehicles.

More Flexible System Design
Because of the higher voltage output, these panels can work across multiple battery system voltages (12V, 24V and 48V) when paired with the right MPPT controller. This makes them far more versatile than many standard panels designed purely for 12V systems.

Lower Current = Less Heat & Losses
Higher voltage panels operate with lower current for the same power output. Lower current reduces heat build-up in wiring and connections, improving overall system efficiency and reliability.

The Elevate Automotive 200W 80V Solar Panel is designed to maximise solar performance in modern off-grid systems while providing the flexibility and durability required for touring, marine and remote power applications.
