A 2-pin Deutsch DT flush-mount receptacle that sits recessed into a bulkhead or panel and gives a clean IP-sealed pass-through for a 2-circuit DT plug. Fits 4WD aux switch panels, trailer input sockets, roof-console feeds, camper bulkhead pass-throughs and any spot where a hanging plug would look untidy or catch on gear.

Contacts are size-16 stamped, rated 13A each at 125°C. The sealed housing keeps out moisture and dust to IP68 when the mating plug is fitted and every unused cavity is plugged. The flange face matches the standard L012 pattern for bolt-through mounting.

This is the receptacle body only. The mating 2-pin DT plug, the wedgelocks and the crimp contacts for both sides are separate line items. Use a Deutsch DT solid-contact crimper on the pins; open-barrel automotive crimpers will not close a DT contact correctly and the joint backs out under vibration.

  • Sealed panel body — IP68 with plug fitted
  • 13A per contact — DT series contact rating
  • Flush installation — clean panel finish
  • L012 flange pattern — industry-standard mount
  • Rugged thermoplastic — heat and impact tolerant

Panel-mount receptacle for DT-series wiring
12V, 24V, 36V and 48V DC automotive and marine systems

Q: What is a Deutsch DT flush mount and where does it go?
A panel-mount receptacle in the DT connector series. It sits recessed into a bulkhead or accessory panel so the mating plug clicks in flush with the panel face. Common on aux switch panels, trailer input sockets, roof-console feeds and any spot a hanging plug would look untidy or catch on gear.

Q: Is this the plug or the receptacle?
Receptacle. It is the panel side, with the flange for bolt-through mounting. The mating 2-pin DT plug, the wedgelocks and the crimp contacts for both sides are separate line items.

Q: What does IP68 mean here?
IP68 is protection against dust and against continuous water beyond 1m depth. The seal holds when the mating plug is fitted and every unused cavity is plugged with a sealing plug. Leave a cavity open and the rating drops.

Q: What panel thickness does it fit?
The L012 flange is designed for panels up to around 3mm thick. Thicker steel needs a spot-face or a countersink so the flange sits flush.

Q: What cable size does it take?
Size-16 stamped contacts (standard for the DT series) accept 16 to 20 AWG wire, roughly 0.5 to 1.5mm² conductor. The contacts are sold separately, along with the mating plug.

Q: Do I need special tools to crimp DT contacts?
A Deutsch DT crimper is the right tool. Standard open-barrel automotive crimpers do not shape the solid-contact barrel correctly and give a loose joint that fails under vibration.

Q: Can I use this on a 24V or 48V system?
Yes. Voltage is not the limit here; per-contact current is. 13A per pin covers 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V DC as long as the load per circuit stays under 13A.

Q: What is the L012 flange pattern?
The standard 2-hole flange footprint for a DT flush-mount receptacle. Two M4 pass-through holes at set centres so the same receptacle bolts into any panel drilled to the DT L012 template. Interchangeable across brands that follow the DT standard.

Q: What is the difference between DT (13A) and DTP (25A)?
DT uses smaller size-16 stamped contacts rated 13A each. DTP uses larger size-12 solid contacts rated 25A each. Both families lock the same way and use the same wedgelock idea. Pick DT for signal and mid-current; step up to DTP when a single circuit needs to carry more than 13A.

Q: Is this a genuine TE Deutsch part?
This is a Deutsch-compatible receptacle distributed for the Australian trade market, not a TE-branded original. It mates with genuine DT plugs and uses the same L012 flange and contact spacing.
