A quick-disconnect kit that puts a 4-Pin PROLINK II socket on the tow vehicle and a matching socket on the trailer, so a Gator reverse camera plugs across the gap in seconds. The 2 m curly cord carries both the camera signal and the reverse trigger, so the camera cuts in automatically when you drop into reverse. Fits caravans, box trailers, horse floats, boat trailers and plant trailers running any Gator PROLINK II camera (GT70SDTK, G500, G700 and compatible 4-pin professional systems).

Two 4-pin sockets with hinged weather caps mount to the chassis or rear panel through the included metal brackets. Each socket carries a 2 m lead for routing back to the camera and monitor. The curly cord stretches to 2 m when extended and recovers between tow and park, so there's no slack flapping on the drawbar.

Pair the sockets with the correct PROLINK II camera and monitor; this kit is the plug chain only, not the camera itself. Fuse the camera's power feed at the source as the camera install guide specifies, not at the socket.

  • 4-Pin PROLINK II — plugs straight into Gator cameras
  • Weatherproof caps — seal out dust and water when unplugged
  • Curly reverse trigger — camera cuts in automatically in reverse
  • Metal mount brackets — bolt to chassis or rear panel
  • 2 m socket leads — reach from drawbar back to camera

Gator 4-pin PROLINK II camera harness between tow vehicle and trailer
Suits any tow vehicle and trailer combination running a Gator PROLINK II camera system
Not compatible with non-PROLINK or 2-pin / 6-pin trailer camera systems; use the matching camera-brand kit

Q: What does 'PROLINK II' actually mean?

PROLINK II is Gator's own 4-pin trailer-camera connector system, used across their reverse camera range (GT70SDTK, G500, G700 and similar). The pin pattern is not the same as a generic 4-pin flat trailer plug used for lights or brake wiring, so the parts are not cross-compatible.

Q: Does this kit include the camera itself?

No. GTK1 is the plug chain and brackets only. Pair it with a Gator PROLINK II camera (GT70SDTK ships with GTK1 included; G500 and G700 systems need GTK1 ordered separately).

Q: What does the curly cord do?

The curly cord bridges the gap between the tow vehicle socket and the trailer socket. It carries the camera video signal and a dedicated trigger wire that tells the camera to switch on when reverse is engaged. Length is 2 m extended, and it coils back when parked so there is no slack on the drawbar.

Q: Will it fit my caravan or box trailer?

Yes. The kit is universal to any tow-vehicle-and-trailer combination running a Gator PROLINK II camera. Mount the sockets to a flat panel on the drawbar at the vehicle end and the front of the trailer at the trailer end using the included metal brackets.

Q: Can I extend the camera cable past 2 m?

Yes. Gator produces PROLINK II extension cables in lengths from 3 m up to 24 m. Order the matching PLC-series cable for your run length. The connectors on the extension cable match the sockets on this kit so there is no adapter needed.

Q: Does the kit come with mounting brackets?

Yes. Two metal mounting brackets are included for fixing the sockets to the tow vehicle and the trailer. Each bracket takes standard bolts; drill through the panel and bolt from behind for a secure mount.

Q: Is it weatherproof?

The sockets carry hinged rubber weather caps that seal them when nothing is plugged in. The connections themselves are not rated for continuous submersion. Keep the caps closed between tows and the kit handles rain, dust, mud and corrugated road vibration.

Q: Does it work with any trailer camera, or only Gator?

Only Gator PROLINK II or compatible 4-pin professional cameras. The pin layout and signalling are specific to Gator's system. For a different camera brand, use that brand's own trailer connection kit.

Q: How does the camera trigger when I reverse?

The curly cord carries a dedicated trigger wire that connects to the vehicle's reverse circuit at install time. When reverse is engaged, 12V passes down the trigger wire and tells the camera to switch on. No manual button is needed on the monitor.

Q: Do I need a fuse on this kit?

Fuse the camera's power feed at the source (tow vehicle fuse box or auxiliary circuit) per the camera install guide. The GTK1 kit itself is the connection harness; it is not the power supply.
