A surface-mount weather cover for a 50A SB50 Anderson plug. Sits over the plug body on a three-hole foot and drops a sprung dust flap over the contacts when nothing is plugged in. Fits caravan bulkheads, canopy rears, toolbox lids and trailer tongue panels where a bare Anderson would sit exposed to spray, dust and road grit.

Body is black moulded plastic with a rubber gasket ring and a stainless retaining screw. Three fixing holes in the foot take standard self-tapping screws into a 2 to 4mm panel. The flap springs closed on release so the connector face is protected the moment the plug comes out.

Fits the SB50 (50A) housing only. Larger SB120 and SB175 need their own cover size. This is a cover only, not a plug or a housing.

  • Panel-mount — three-hole fixing foot.
  • Sprung flap — auto-closes when cable is out.
  • Gasket sealed — splash-proof against spray and dust.
  • UV plastic — outdoor durability.
  • SB50 sized — matches 50A Anderson body.

Weather cover for SB50 Anderson plug body mounted to a panel.
Suits caravan and camper trailer bulkheads, canopy rears, toolbox lids, trailer tongue panels.
Not compatible with SB120 or SB175 Anderson plugs — use the size-matched cover for those.

Q: What is the difference between a snap-on cap and a panel-mount cover like this one?
A snap-on cap is a small rubber pull-over that clips onto the front of a loose Anderson plug. A panel-mount cover screws to the vehicle around a permanently installed plug and closes a hinged flap over the contacts. This is the panel-mount type.

Q: Does it fit SB120 or SB175?
No. The cover is sized to the SB50 body only. SB120 and SB175 plugs are larger and need covers made for those sizes.

Q: Is an Anderson plug included?
No. This is the cover only. Buy the SB50 grey plug and the cable behind it separately.

Q: How does it fix to the panel?
Three screw holes in the foot take standard self-tapping screws into a 2 to 4mm sheet-metal or plastic panel. Mark, drill pilot holes, then run the screws down. The Anderson body slots through the foot and the plug is held by the cover itself.

Q: Is it waterproof?
Splash-proof, not submersible. Keeps spray, dust, sand and road grit off the plug contacts when the flap is closed. Not rated for underwater immersion.

Q: Can it stay closed while the plug is in use?
The flap opens when the mating cable is plugged in and springs back over the contacts as soon as the cable is pulled. Closed in transit, open when in use.

Q: Does the flap seal to the plug face?
Yes. A rubber gasket ring under the flap sits against the plug face when closed for a splash-tight seal. Check the gasket occasionally and replace the cover if it perishes.

Q: Will it survive UV and heat?
The body is UV-stabilised plastic. Life on an exposed tongue or canopy rear is typically several years of outdoor use before the flap spring or gasket fatigues. Replace as a service part.
