A factory-blank dash switch that controls Lightforce BEAST driving lights straight from the driver's reach. Fires SPOT, FLOOD and BEAST modes on a short or long press, keeping the interior looking OEM with no cutting or drilling. Fits the 22 × 22 mm blank slots in the Toyota 300 Series LandCruiser (2021+), Prado 250 (2025+), Prado 150 (2018-2024), 70 Series (2024+), N90 Hilux (2025+), Kluger, RAV4, Tundra, Tacoma, HiAce, Camry and bZ4X.

The switch takes 10-16V input and passes up to 3A on the signal side, so it drives a relay or the BEAST wiring harness rather than the lights directly. The face carries a power symbol on the upper button and the MODE legend below, with the factory-style backlight matching the surrounding dash when lit. The rear connector plugs straight into the Lightforce BEAST Universal Harness for tool-free wiring.

Pair it with the BEAST Universal Harness or a vehicle-specific BEAST harness, plus a set of BEAST driving lights. Fits blank switch positions only, not slots that already carry a factory switch. Confirm the blank cut-out size before ordering if the trim level came with different switch panels.

You'll also need

  • Factory-blank fit — clips into 22 × 22 mm dash cut-outs with no cutting
  • Three-mode control — SPOT, FLOOD and BEAST from a single button
  • OEM backlight — matches factory dash illumination when lit
  • Signal-level output — 10-16V input, up to 3A to drive a relay or harness
  • Plug-and-play wiring — mates with the Lightforce BEAST Universal Harness
  • Multi-light resync — long-press keeps paired BEAST lights in sync

Electrical

Input voltage: 10-16V DC

Signal output: up to 3A

Fitment

Cut-out size: 22 × 22 mm

Mount type: clip-in dash blank

Control

Modes: SPOT, FLOOD, BEAST

Backlight: factory-matched

Remove the blank plate from the dash cluster (Toyota trim tools or a plastic pry pop it out cleanly). Line the switch square with the cut-out and press it in until the retaining clips lock. The face should sit flush with the surrounding trim.

Run the switch loom behind the dash and plug the rear connector into the Lightforce BEAST Universal Harness or a vehicle-specific BEAST harness. Route the harness through the firewall to the driving lights and connect at the battery end per the harness instructions.

Test each mode with the ignition on. Short press cycles SPOT and FLOOD; long press engages BEAST; a second long press resyncs paired lights that have drifted out of step.

Fits factory-blank switch positions with a 22 × 22 mm cut-out only
Suits standard 12V and 24V Toyota accessory circuits
Not for Prado 120/150 pre-2018 or Hilux pre-N90 (different cut-out shape — use the TYD switch instead)

Q: Which Toyota models does the TY4 switch actually fit?
Lightforce publishes fit for the 300 Series LandCruiser (2021+), Prado 250 (2025+), Prado 150 (2018-2024), 70 Series (2024+), N90 Hilux (2025+), Kluger (2019+), RAV4 (2019+), Tundra (2024+), Tacoma (2024+), HiAce (2019+), Camry (2018+) and bZ4X (2022+). Older Prados and pre-2018 Hilux use a different cut-out.

Q: What is a factory-blank switch?
Toyota builds these vehicles with spare, unused switch positions in the dash so buyers can add accessory switches without cutting the trim. The BEAST TY4 clips into those blanks with no modification.

Q: What are SPOT, FLOOD and BEAST modes?
SPOT throws a long tight beam for open-country distance. FLOOD spreads a wide near-field pattern for tighter tracks. BEAST runs both LED arrays at full output for maximum light. Short press toggles between SPOT and FLOOD; long press engages BEAST.

Q: Does this switch power the lights directly?
No. It carries up to 3A on the signal side, which is enough to trigger a relay or the BEAST wiring harness that then feeds the lights. Wiring the switch straight to a pair of BEAST lights will burn it out.

Q: Do I need the BEAST Universal Harness?
You need either the Lightforce BEAST Universal Harness (LFDLHBEAST-U) or a vehicle-specific BEAST harness for plug-and-play. Both carry the relay, fuse and connector set the switch expects on the other end.

Q: Will it work with non-Lightforce driving lights?
The three-mode control is BEAST-specific. Standard driving lights only respond to on/off, so wiring the switch to non-BEAST lights loses the FLOOD and BEAST steps and leaves you with a plain switched circuit.

Q: How do I know if my dash has a spare 22 × 22 mm blank?
Pop the trim panel around the existing switch cluster and check for a blank plate with the same square footprint. Higher trim levels sometimes come with the blanks already filled by factory options, in which case a different mounting spot is needed.

Q: What's the difference between the TY4 and TYD switch?
TY4 suits the newer flat-face 22 × 22 mm blanks in the 300 Series, Prado 250, Prado 150 (2018+) and N90 Hilux. TYD suits the older raised-edge blanks in the 70 Series, 100 Series and pre-2018 Hilux. The two are not interchangeable.

Q: Does it need a fuse?
The switch draws almost nothing on its own, but the circuit driving the lights must be fused. The BEAST wiring harness includes the correct fuse for the light rating. If you're building a custom loom, fuse the light feed, not the switch.

Q: How do I sync multiple BEAST lights that are out of step?
Long-press the mode button while the lights are running. The switch sends a resync signal that pulls every paired BEAST light back into the same mode.
