A 75Ah dual-purpose AGM battery that cranks the engine like a starter battery and runs the fridge, lights and accessories like a deep cycle. Delivers 730 cold cranking amps and 140 minutes reserve capacity in the standard 24 case size with D polarity multi-terminal (positive at the left, negative at the right, plus wing-nut secondary posts). Fits 4x4 and SUV dual-battery trays, caravan house-battery boxes, camper trailer electrics and marine centre consoles where one battery handles both the start job and the house.

AGM chemistry so the electrolyte sits in glass-fibre mats, spill-proof and ventilation-free. Full-frame cast plates with Platelock bracing for vibration resistance under-bonnet and on 4WD tracks. 260 by 174 by 200mm polypropylene case (221mm total height to terminal tops), standard tapered primary posts with wing-nut secondary terminals for accessory wiring. 21.5kg sealed and maintenance free.

Not an EFB or ISS-rated AGM for Stop-Start duty. Install upright, not on its side. For 4WDs with heavy fridge and inverter draw, pair this with a DC-DC charger from the starter battery to keep it topped above 95% state-of-charge and extend cycle life considerably. For dedicated deep-cycle house duty, a dedicated deep cycle battery still outlasts a dual-purpose over daily sustained discharge.

Install upright, not on its side. Confirm the battery tray fits 260 × 174 × 200mm (221mm to top of terminals). Wing-nut secondary terminals accept accessory tap cables.

After fitting, let the vehicle idle for a few minutes to let the alternator stabilise charge. For 4WDs with regular deep discharge, pair with a DC-DC charger from the starter battery to extend cycle life.

Q: What does dual-purpose mean?
A battery built to both start the engine and run accessories. Pure starter batteries have thin plates for brief high current and die under deep discharge; pure deep-cycle batteries have thick plates and lower cranking current. Dual-purpose sits between the two.

Q: Can this battery start my 4x4 and run my fridge?
Yes. 730 CCA is strong cranking current for 4L to 6L petrol or diesel engines, and 140 minutes reserve covers overnight 12V fridge, lights and USB charging. For extended off-grid stays, a split system (dedicated cranker + dedicated deep cycle) still outlasts one dual-purpose.

Q: Is it suitable for Stop-Start vehicles?
No. For a Stop-Start car, use Century ISS Active AGM in the matching case size.

Q: Can I install it on its side?
No. Warranted for upright installation only.

Q: Is it maintenance-free?
Yes. Sealed AGM, no cell caps, no fluid top-ups, flame-arrestor venting under extreme pressure only.

Q: What's STD/WN terminal mean?
Standard tapered post plus Wing Nut terminal. Main battery cables bolt to the primary standard posts; secondary wing-nut terminals take accessory feeds.

Q: What's the difference between 24X and 24LX?
24X is D polarity multi-terminal (positive at left when viewed from above); 24LX is C polarity (positive at right). Same case size, same specs, mirror-image terminal arrangement.

Q: Can I use this for solar charging?
Yes. Works well with solar in RV and camper setups when paired with an MPPT solar regulator set to AGM charge profile (14.4-14.7V absorption, 13.5-13.6V float).
