A 100Ah dual-purpose AGM battery for the biggest 4x4s, caravans, marine houseboats and off-grid rigs. Cranks engines up to 7L diesel at 950 cold cranking amps, holds up through 200 minutes of reserve capacity when running the fridge, lights, inverter, winch standby and accessories. Fits large commercial 31 case trays in prime movers, big caravans, cruiser boats and bus conversions where one battery has to both start the engine and run the house.

AGM chemistry with full-frame cast plates and Platelock bracing for vibration tolerance in commercial applications and on corrugated 4WD tracks. 332 by 172 by 210mm polypropylene case (232mm total height to terminal tops), standard tapered posts with wing-nut secondary terminals, D polarity multi-terminal. 28.5kg sealed and maintenance free. Carry handles cast into the lid for two-person lifting.

Not an EFB or ISS-rated AGM for Stop-Start duty. Install upright, not on its side. For hard-working commercial rigs with constant deep-cycle draw, a split system (dedicated cranker + dedicated deep cycle, or dedicated cranker + lithium house) outlasts a single dual-purpose battery over 3-5 years of heavy use — but Dual Force+ is the right pick where tray space only allows one battery.

Install upright, not on its side. Confirm the battery tray fits 332 × 172 × 210mm (232mm to top of terminals). Wing-nut secondary terminals accept accessory tap cables. 28.5kg warrants two-person lift.

After fitting, let the vehicle idle for a few minutes to let the alternator stabilise charge. In commercial duty cycles with regular deep discharge, pairing with a DC-DC charger extends cycle life considerably.

Q: What does dual-purpose mean?
A battery built to both start the engine and run accessories. Pure starter batteries have thin plates for brief high current; pure deep-cycle batteries have thick plates for sustained discharge. Dual-purpose sits between — enough CCA to crank, enough plate mass to survive repeat deep cycles.

Q: What does 31X case size mean?
Standard commercial battery case code. The 31 is a large truck/commercial case, roughly 332 by 172 by 210mm. Fits big 4x4s, prime movers, large caravans and marine house banks.

Q: Can this battery start my 4x4 and run the fridge all night?
Yes. 950 CCA will crank anything up to a 7L diesel, and 200 minutes reserve means a 12V fridge drawing 3-5A plus interior lights can run from dusk to dawn with capacity to spare.

Q: Is it suitable for Stop-Start vehicles?
No. Stop-Start vehicles need batteries matched by the car's BMS — either EFB or ISS-rated AGM. For a Stop-Start car, use Century ISS Active AGM in the matching case size.

Q: Can I install it on its side?
No. Even though AGM is spill-proof, this battery is warranted for upright installation only.

Q: Is it maintenance-free?
Yes. Sealed AGM, no cell caps, no fluid top-ups, flame-arrestor venting under extreme pressure only.

Q: What's STD/WN terminal mean?
Standard tapered post plus Wing Nut terminal. Main battery cables bolt to the primary posts; secondary wing-nut terminals take accessory feeds without disturbing the main cables.

Q: What's the difference between 24LX and 31X?
Case size and capacity. 24LX is 75Ah/730CCA in a 260mm case; 31X is 100Ah/950CCA in a 332mm case. 31X gives 25Ah more house capacity and 220 CCA more cranking for a larger footprint.

Q: What warranty does it carry?
24-month Century manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
