UP IN UNDER 60 SECONDS
No poles, no guy ropes, no fighting it in the wind at the end of a long drive.
MADE IN CAIRNS, QLD
Built in Australia for Australian conditions, and every part is serviceable and replaceable.
STANDS ON ITS OWN LEGS
No poles, no guy ropes, and it levels on uneven ground where a cantilevered awning sits crooked.
12.4 SQUARE METRES, SQUARE EDGE
A square edge keeps the corners, so you get full cover across the back and down the side.
HOLDS IN 25 KM/H WINDS
4mm stainless base plate, reinforced alloy arms and marine-grade stainless fittings.
The Destination 4WD D270 mounts to your roof rack like any awning, but once it is open it stands on its own adjustable legs instead of cantilevering off the vehicle. That is the practical difference. The legs carry the weight, so it needs no poles and no guy ropes, it can be levelled on uneven or sloping ground where a cantilevered awning sits crooked, and it holds in winds up to 25km/h on its own.
It throws 12.4 square metres of shade with a square edge rather than a curved one, so you keep the corners and get full coverage across the back and down the side. The arms extend 2900mm, the base is 2200mm, and it goes up in under 60 seconds once you have done it a couple of times.
It is made in Cairns, QLD, Australia. The base plate is 4mm stainless steel, the arms are reinforced alloy, the fittings are marine-grade stainless, and the canvas is a waterproof, UV-stable premium grade. Every part of it is serviceable and replaceable, which matters more than it sounds on an awning at this level — a torn panel or a bent arm is a repair, not a write-off.
Check your roof rack before you order. Packed it is 2400mm long and 250 x 250mm square, and it weighs 23kg. That length is the thing that catches people out, so measure the clear run on your rack rather than assuming.
It comes in a left hand and a right hand version so the awning deploys down the side of the vehicle you want it on. Choose based on which side you camp off — usually the side away from the road, or the side your door and kitchen are on.
Backed by a 5 year warranty on the frame and workmanship, and 2 years on the canvas.
