An Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB) sized for modern 4WDs, SUVs and dual-cab utes with Idle Stop-Start (ISS) and mild-hybrid systems. Delivers 730 cold cranking amps, 145 minutes reserve capacity and 80Ah in a DIN75 case engineered for the repeated restart cycles that destroy standard flooded batteries in a season.

Built in Century's Villawood, NSW plant with enhanced plate chemistry and additives that recover charge quickly between stop-start events. Standard tapered-post terminals (C polarity, positive on the right) match OEM clamps. Sealed maintenance-free case with central venting; ECE-R10 compliant for passenger-vehicle fitment.

Replace like-for-like on ISS vehicles. Running a standard flooded or AGM when an EFB is specified voids the stop-start system's charge-balancing and typically triggers a dash warning or disables ISS entirely. Confirm your OEM battery is EFB or AGM before fitting.

  • 730CCA cranking — handles cold-start plus repeated ISS engine restarts
  • 145 RC — 145 minutes of 25A reserve carries loads during stop-start events
  • EFB chemistry — enhanced recharge efficiency between restart cycles
  • 3× cycle life vs standard flooded — built for the micro-cycling that kills regular batteries
  • ISS certified — keeps your car's stop-start system active, no dash warnings
  • Maintenance-free — sealed caps, no top-ups across service life
  • Made in Australia — built at Century's Villawood NSW plant for AU conditions

Fits a standard DIN75 battery tray. Measure the tray before buying: 313 × 175mm footprint, 190mm tall to the terminal top.

Mount upright. Uses end/side hold-down options; secure the battery firmly before closing the bonnet.

Confirm polarity before connecting: positive on the right when viewed from the terminal face (C polarity). Clean posts and apply petroleum jelly to resist corrosion.

On most ISS vehicles the battery management system needs resetting after fitment. Check your vehicle's manual: some ISS cars auto-detect, others need a scan tool to register the new battery or ISS will stay disabled. Our workshop handles this if you book installation.

Modern 4WDs, SUVs, dual-cab utes and passenger cars fitted with Idle Stop-Start (ISS)
Mild-hybrid vehicles using Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB) chemistry
Direct replacement where OEM specifies DIN75 EFB (313 × 175 × 190mm, C polarity)
Short-trip urban vehicles needing enhanced recharge efficiency
Terminal C polarity: positive on the right (polarity view: terminal face)
Vehicles specified for AGM batteries — fit the AGM equivalent
Vehicles with standard flooded cranking — use a standard DIN75 instead (EFB overspec)

Q: What does EFB actually mean?
A: Enhanced Flooded Battery. A flooded lead-acid chemistry with reinforced plates, carbon additives and improved separators that recharge faster between stop-start engine restarts than standard flooded. The step up from standard flooded, the step below AGM, built specifically for ISS vehicles.

Q: What's the difference between EFB and AGM for stop-start cars?
A: Both handle stop-start cycling. AGM is spill-proof, has higher cycle life, and suits vehicles with regenerative braking or micro-hybrid systems. EFB is cheaper per Ah, uses a standard flooded case, and suits most entry-level and mid-tier ISS systems. Match what the OEM specifies — fitting EFB where AGM is specified typically disables ISS; fitting AGM where EFB is specified is fine but overkill.

Q: What does ISS actually mean?
A: Idle Stop-Start. The system cuts the engine when you stop at lights or in traffic and restarts it when you take your foot off the brake. Saves fuel and emissions but hammers the battery with hundreds of extra starts a day. Standard flooded batteries die in 12-18 months in ISS cars; EFB and AGM handle it.

Q: Will fitting this disable my ISS?
A: Not if your OEM specifies EFB. If your car came with EFB or AGM, this is a direct replacement that keeps ISS active. If your car came with a standard flooded battery, this is a safe upgrade but ISS wasn't fitted so there's nothing to disable. If your car specifies AGM, fit an AGM equivalent instead.

Q: Does the car need a BMS reset after I fit it?
A: Most ISS vehicles need the battery management system to register the new battery so it can track its state-of-charge accurately. Some cars auto-detect; others need a scan tool or dealer reset. Without the reset, the BMS still thinks it has the old battery and can disable ISS or fail to charge properly. Our workshop handles this.

Q: Can I use this in a non-ISS vehicle?
A: Yes — EFB batteries work perfectly in standard flooded applications. Overkill for a non-ISS daily if you can get a cheaper standard DIN75 that fits, but no harm done. Where EFB shines over standard flooded in non-ISS cars: lots of short trips, cold starts, high accessory load, taxis and delivery vehicles.

Q: What's the warranty?
A: 24 months against manufacturing defects, from the date of purchase. Covers plate failures, case cracks and premature capacity loss. Damage from under-charging, sulphation after prolonged discharge, or installation in a non-ISS-rated setup without BMS reset isn't covered.

Q: How does this compare to the standard DIN53LH EFB?
A: Same EFB chemistry, same ISS rating, different size and capacity. The DIN75LH EFB is 730CCA 145RC 80Ah in a 313 × 175 × 190mm case. The DIN53LH EFB is 560CCA 100RC 60Ah in a 242 × 175 × 190mm case. Match what your OEM specifies by physical size and cranking; don't up-size CCA unless the tray and electrical system are rated for it.
