A stainless steel right-angle bracket that panel-mounts an 8-pin Deutsch DT connector on the outside face of a canopy, service body, tray wall, cabinet or bulkhead when flush or recessed mounting isn't an option. Puts the connector cutout on the vertical face of the bracket so the plug and receptacle meet in open air. Fits any flat, structurally sound panel, from mild steel through aluminium tread-plate to canopy composite.

Fabricated from stainless steel in a 90-degree L-profile with the connector cutout on one face and fixing provision on the other. The connector face is cut to the Deutsch DT 8-pin housing's flange outline, so the connector seats straight on without packing or shimming. Raw stainless finish, no powder-coat or paint to flake around the cutout.

The bracket is just the mount, so the 8-pin Deutsch DT connector kit and the fasteners for the mounting surface are both separate. Pick fasteners to suit the panel, and thread-lock them if the bracket mounts to a vibration-prone location.

Q: What's a Deutsch connector?
Sealed multi-pin automotive electrical connector used across 4WD, marine, mining and heavy-vehicle wiring. Named after the Deutsch Industrial Products Division (now part of TE Connectivity), the DT series is the most common auto family, rated to 13A per contact, environmentally sealed and vibration-tolerant.

Q: What's the difference between Deutsch DT, DTM and DTP?
Three physical sizes in the range. DT (13A per pin, 1.5mm contact) is the standard automotive connector and what this bracket fits. DTM is smaller (7.5A, 1mm contact) for low-current signal use. DTP is larger (25A, 2mm contact) for heavy accessory loads. The bracket cutout is sized to the DT 8-pin housing only, not DTM or DTP.

Q: Does this fit a 2-pin, 4-pin or 6-pin Deutsch connector?
No. The vertical face cutout is sized to the 8-pin Deutsch DT housing (DT04-08P receptacle series). The 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12-pin DT housings each have a different flange outline. Use the matching bracket for those pin counts, or flange-mount the connector directly through a panel cutout.

Q: Does the Deutsch connector come with the bracket?
No. The bracket is just the stainless steel mount. Buy the 8-pin Deutsch DT connector kit separately.

Q: Why use this instead of flush-mounting the connector?
Flush mounting needs a clean panel cutout the exact size of the connector flange plus clearance for the fixings behind it, which is only possible when the panel is deep enough and there's room behind the mounting surface. On a canopy wall, tray side, cabinet corner or thin bulkhead there's often not enough space behind the panel. The right-angle bracket surface-mounts the connector in front of the panel so the install doesn't need any depth behind it.

Q: What surfaces can I mount this to?
Any flat, structurally sound panel: mild steel, aluminium checker plate, stainless, hardwood ply, composite canopy wall, or a welded steel chassis bracket. Avoid thin unsupported plastic or single-skin sheet without a backing plate, because plugging the connector in puts a pull-off load on the fasteners.

Q: Are the base fixing holes pre-drilled?
Check the product images for the exact pattern. If the base needs drilling to suit a specific fastener size or spacing, mark it to match your mounting surface and drill with a 3-5mm bit for stainless steel.

Q: What fasteners do I need?
Two or four M5 or M6 stainless machine screws into tapped holes, or self-tapping TEK screws into a steel panel, depending on the mounting surface. Rivnuts work well on thin canopy walls. Thread-lock the screws if the bracket mounts to a vibration-prone location.

Q: Is it suitable for marine or coastal use?
Yes. The stainless steel bracket won't rust in salt air, and the Deutsch DT connector itself is sealed to IP67 when latched. Open-face mounting means the connector drains and dries rather than trapping moisture.

Q: What's the warranty?
12 months against manufacturing defects, the Elevate Automotive house default. The bracket is a fabricated stainless steel part so there's no complex failure mode; most warranty claims on brackets of this type are shipping damage, which we handle on arrival.
