A 300-piece heat shrink assortment that covers a workshop wiring range from 2mm to 25mm across nine sizes, split between red and black so you can mark polarity or circuit function at a glance. Insulates crimped joins and spliced wires on automotive, marine and 12V/24V jobs. Fits a divided storage case so each size stays sorted at the bench.

Single-wall, non-adhesive polyolefin. Flame-retardant and self-extinguishing, rated to 300V. The 2:1 shrink ratio pulls each tube down to about half its original diameter under heat and grips the joint underneath for an insulated finish. Single-wall means it insulates but does not seal against water, so this kit is for dry-side insulation work; for a water-tight seal around battery lugs or outdoor joints, use adhesive-lined dual-wall tubing instead.

Heat the tube evenly with a proper heat gun, not a naked flame, until it shrinks snugly around the wire. Pick a diameter that slides on easily before shrinking, not one that just fits, otherwise the shrink range cannot do its job.

Q: Is this tubing waterproof?
A: No. This is single-wall non-adhesive heat shrink. It insulates the joint but does not seal against water. For a water-tight seal around battery lugs or outdoor connections, choose an adhesive-lined dual-wall kit instead.

Q: What is the difference between single-wall and dual-wall heat shrink?
A: Single-wall tubing is one layer of shrinkable plastic. It insulates the joint but does not seal it. Dual-wall tubing has an outer shrinkable layer plus an inner adhesive lining that melts under heat and bonds to the wire for a water-tight seal. This kit is single-wall, so it is for insulation only.

Q: Can I use this on battery terminals?
A: Not for sealing. Dual-wall adhesive-lined heat shrink is the correct choice for sealing and insulating battery lugs and terminals so moisture cannot reach the copper. This kit can insulate exposed metal but will not seal it against water.

Q: What size heat shrink do I need for my wire?
A: Pick a tube that slides over the wire or joint easily before shrinking, not one that just fits. When in doubt go one size larger, the shrink pulls it in.

Q: How do I use it?
A: Cut the length you need, slide it over the connection before making the final crimp, then apply heat evenly with a heat gun until it shrinks tight around the wire.

Q: Can I shrink this with a lighter or naked flame?
A: No. A naked flame scorches the outer shell and leaves it brittle. Use a proper heat gun, or a butane torch on a very low blue flame if that is all you have.
