A 75A battery management system that charges a 12V auxiliary battery from the vehicle's alternator, 240V mains and solar panels at the same time. Fits caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes, 4WD tourers and van conversions where one unit replaces a separate DC-DC charger, mains charger and solar regulator. Keeps the fridge, lights, inverter and water pump running day after day without touching the start battery.

Dimensions are 400 by 154 by 120mm and 6.0kg, so the whole system drops onto a single mounting board instead of three separate boxes. Inputs cover a 9 to 32V DC start-battery feed, a 9 to 32V DC solar feed and a 95 to 264V AC mains feed, with simultaneous 75A output at 12V. The included RedVision Pro display shows current flow, state of charge and estimated run time at the dash or inside the van, and the Bluetooth 5.1 Smart Battery Monitor sends the same data to the Redarc app at up to 42m from the vehicle. Green Power Priority favours solar whenever it's available so the alternator and mains carry less of the load.

The Alpha75 is designed for mounting inside the van or camper, not in the engine bay, because the 240V AC input and the open chassis aren't sealed against water or dust. Fuse both the start-battery feed and the auxiliary-battery output at the source. The 240V AC mains side is regulated electrical and must be wired by a licensed electrician. Elevate's workshop holds EC17073 (Building and Energy WA) and handles the install when needed.

What sets it apart

Three sources, one unit — alternator, mains and solar charge at the same time.

Up to 75A simultaneous — full capacity delivered no matter which source is live.

RedVision Pro display included — real-time state of charge, current and run time at a glance.

Bluetooth 5.1 at 42m — remote monitoring via the Redarc app around camp.

Start battery recovery — pulls a flat start battery back using excess solar.

Made in Australia — designed and built in Lonsdale, South Australia.

Mounting and install

The Alpha75 mounts flat or vertically on a secure board with cable glands or sealed entries for every external connection. Keep the unit away from direct heat and leave 50mm clearance for airflow on all sides. Rated input and output fuses sit at the start battery and auxiliary battery respectively, sized to Redarc's wiring diagram based on cable length.

Elevate's workshop installs the Alpha75 as part of a complete auxiliary-battery system, including the mains 240V tie-in under licence EC17073. Available fully fitted when you bring the vehicle in, or shipped Australia-wide for owner installation.

  • Three-source charging — DC, AC and solar simultaneously at 75A.
  • RedVision Pro display — in-vehicle touchscreen for live status.
  • Bluetooth 5.1 app — remote monitoring up to 42m from the vehicle.
  • Green Power Priority — favours solar to reduce alternator load.
  • Start battery recovery — brings a flat start battery back from solar.
  • Compact chassis — 400 × 154 × 120mm, 6.0kg total.
  • Wide temperature range — rated −20°C to 60°C ambient.
  • Made in Australia — designed and built in Lonsdale, South Australia.

Mount the Alpha75 inside the vehicle on a secure flat surface or vertical bulkhead. Keep it away from direct heat and leave at least 50mm clearance on all sides for airflow. The chassis isn't sealed against water or dust, so engine-bay mounting isn't rated — use the BCDC Alpha25 or Alpha50 if you need an under-bonnet charger instead.

Wire the start battery input through a correctly sized fuse at the source. Redarc's wiring diagram lists the fuse size based on cable length. The solar input accepts panels or a solar regulator output in the 9 to 32V DC range. The auxiliary battery output drives your fuse block or distribution hub, protected by a fuse at the auxiliary battery.

The 240V AC mains input is regulated electrical. Any 240V installation on a caravan, camper or motorhome must be done by a licensed electrician under AS/NZS 3000. Elevate holds licence EC17073 (Building & Energy WA). Bring the vehicle in for the full install, or use your own licensed sparky for the mains tie-in and finish the DC side yourself.

Configure the battery chemistry profile from the RedVision Pro display or via the Redarc app during commissioning. Set the chemistry before the first full charge so the Alpha75 charges to the correct voltage for the battery you've installed.

caravans, campers, motorhomes, 4WD tourers, van conversions
12V single auxiliary battery banks (Gel, AGM, Calcium, Lead Acid, Lithium)
Combined DC + AC + solar charging in one unit
24V or 48V house systems, use a Redarc 24V BMS or a split DC system
Engine bay mounting, chassis isn't sealed, mount inside the vehicle

Q1: What does "battery management system" (BMS) actually mean?
A: On this unit, it's a single box that combines a DC-DC charger (vehicle alternator), an AC mains charger and a solar regulator. One wiring harness, one display, one place to look for a fault. Separate chargers do the same job across three devices and three wiring looms.

Q2: What's the difference between the Alpha75 and the Manager30?
A: The Alpha75 charges at up to 75A from any combination of alternator, mains and solar at the same time. The Manager30 tops out at 30A. The Alpha75 is also smaller than the Manager30 and uses the newer RedVision Pro display. Pick the Alpha75 for larger 12V house banks or faster recharge, pick the Manager30 for smaller setups where 30A is enough.

Q3: Does the RedVision display come in the box, or do I buy it separately?
A: Comes in the box. The Alpha75 ships with the main unit, the RedVision Pro display and the Bluetooth Smart Battery Monitor. Nothing extra to order on the display side.

Q4: Can I run my 24V house system through this?
A: No. The Alpha75 is 12V input and 12V output only. For 24V house setups look at Redarc's 24V BCDC range or a split 12V/24V system.

Q5: How far does the Bluetooth reach around camp?
A: Redarc rates the Bluetooth 5.1 link at up to 42 metres line of sight. Steel caravan walls and heavy obstructions reduce the usable range in practice. Across most campsites it will reach the awning and the fire pit.

Q6: Which battery chemistries does it support?
A: Gel, AGM, Calcium, Standard Lead Acid and Lithium per Redarc's current publication. Set the chemistry profile from the RedVision Pro display or via the Redarc app during the first setup.

Q7: What's the warranty?
A: Two years from Redarc, from the invoice date.

Q8: Can I install the Alpha75 in the engine bay?
A: No. The chassis isn't sealed against water or dust and the 240V AC mains input means the unit needs to live where it stays dry and clean, inside the van, camper, motorhome or 4WD interior. For an under-bonnet charger look at the IP67/69K-rated Redarc BCDC Alpha25 or Alpha50.

Q9: Does the mains (240V AC) side need a licensed electrician?
A: Yes. Under AS/NZS 3000, any 240V AC installation must be done by a licensed electrician. Elevate holds licence EC17073 (Building & Energy WA). Bring the vehicle in and we handle it, or use your own licensed sparky.

Q10: Can I run the fridge, inverter and lights straight off the Alpha75's output?
A: The auxiliary battery output powers downstream loads via your own fuse block or distribution hub. The Alpha75 handles the charging side. Load distribution happens through standard 12V fuses and switches downstream, sized to the current each appliance draws.
