A rubber grommet assortment that packs 125 grommets across 18 common sizes into one storage case. Grips into drilled or punched panel holes, protects cable insulation from sharp metal edges, and damps vibration where the wire exits the panel. Fits firewalls, fuse boxes, bulkheads, bracket cut-outs and canopy panels on cars, 4WDs, trailers, caravans, boats and workshop rigs.

Both open and closed styles are included, so a hole that only needs a cable pass-through gets an open grommet, and a hole that needs sealing off gets a closed one. The full 125 pieces sit in a compact plastic case with sizes separated, so the size that matches the hole is easy to find without sorting through a loose bag.

A slightly undersized grommet grips harder and seats better than one that just barely fits. Measure the panel hole first, pick the closest smaller inside diameter, and press the grommet in with the groove seated on the panel thickness. Keep the case out of direct petroleum contact so the rubber stays flexible over time.

  • 125 pieces — covers 18 common hole sizes
  • Open and closed — pass-through and seal-off styles
  • Rubber build — flexes into drilled panel holes
  • Sorted case — the right size is quick to find

Q: How do I pick the right grommet size?
A: Measure the panel hole diameter first, then match to the closest size in the kit. A slightly undersized grommet grips and seals better than an oversized one that can slip out. If the cable passes through the grommet, check the inside diameter matches the cable outside diameter too.

Q: What's the difference between open and closed grommets?
A: Open grommets have a hole through the middle for a cable or hose to pass through. Closed grommets are a blank disc that plugs a hole off completely, useful for sealing unused fuse-box or panel holes. Both styles come in this kit.

Q: Will these handle engine bay heat and moisture?
A: Yes. Rubber grommets handle sun exposure, engine heat and moisture without going brittle the way cheaper plastic bushes do over time. For sustained high-temperature runs above 100°C, step up to a silicone grommet instead.

Q: What's a grommet actually for?
A: It sits in a drilled or punched panel hole and stops the sharp metal edge from cutting through the cable insulation when the wire vibrates against it over time. Without one, a cable feeding through a firewall or bracket is one bump away from a short to chassis.

Q: Can I reuse a grommet after pulling it out?
A: Yes, provided it comes out undamaged. Wipe it clean, push it back into a clean hole and it seats the same way. Replace any grommet that's cracked, torn or gone hard.

Q: Do I need to drill a specific hole size?
A: The grommet's outside diameter needs to match the panel hole. The kit covers 18 sizes so a matching hole diameter is usually already sitting somewhere in the range. If the hole was punched at an odd size, either enlarge it slightly or step down to the next grommet size.

Q: Is 125 pieces enough for a full vehicle wiring job?
A: For a typical firewall pass-through, bracket cut-out and fuse-box seal on one vehicle, yes. For a large custom auxiliary build with multiple bulkhead penetrations across a caravan or truck body, run the numbers on the sizes needed first; a larger 210-piece kit may cover it in one hit.

Q: What material are these made from?
A: Rubber, which flexes to grip the panel hole and seals against vibration. Rubber holds up under UV, engine heat, moisture and most workshop chemicals. Avoid sustained petroleum-based fluid exposure; that's the one thing that softens the rubber over time.
