A rubber grommet assortment that packs 210 grommets across 9 hole sizes into one divided case. Grips into drilled or punched panel holes from 6.35mm up to 25.4mm, protects cable insulation from sharp metal edges, and damps vibration where the wire exits the panel. Fits firewalls, fuse boxes, brackets, bulkheads and canopy cut-outs on cars, 4WDs, trailers, caravans, boats and workshop rigs.

Each grommet grips into the panel hole and lets a cable pass through cleanly. The 210 pieces sit pre-sorted in a clear divided storage case, so the size that matches the hole is easy to find and the rest stay organised for the next job. See the size guide below for exact quantities per size.

A slightly undersized grommet grips harder and seats better than one that just barely fits. Measure the panel hole first, pick the closest inside diameter, and press the grommet in with the groove seated on the panel thickness. Rubber holds up under UV, engine heat and moisture but softens over time under sustained petroleum contact, so keep the case dry and out of direct fuel spray.

What's in the case

Nine sizes are included, sorted by hole diameter. Match the panel hole to the closest size below.

Qty Inside dia. Hole dia.
50 3.18mm 6.35mm
50 4.67mm 7.94mm
35 6.35mm 9.53mm
25 7.64mm 11.1mm
20 9.53mm 12.7mm
10 9.92mm 16.7mm
10 12.7mm 15.9mm
5 15.9mm 22.2mm
5 17.5mm 25.4mm
  • 9 sizes — covers 6.35mm to 25.4mm holes
  • Divided case — sorted and quick to find
  • Rubber grip — seats into drilled panel holes
  • Vibration damping — cushions cable at exit point
  • Reusable — pull, wipe and refit

Q: How do I pick the right grommet size?
A: Measure the panel hole diameter first, then match to the closest hole diameter in the size table above. If the cable passes through, check the inside diameter fits the cable too. A slightly undersized grommet grips and seals better than one that just barely fits.

Q: What's a grommet actually for?
A: It sits in a drilled or punched panel hole and stops the sharp metal edge from cutting through the cable insulation when the wire vibrates against it. Without one, a cable feeding through a firewall or bracket is one bump away from a short to chassis.

Q: Are these grommets suitable for engine bay use?
A: Yes. Rubber handles sun exposure, engine heat and moisture without going brittle the way cheaper plastic bushes do over time. For sustained runs above 100°C, step up to a silicone grommet.

Q: Can I reuse a grommet once it's fitted?
A: Yes, as long as it comes out undamaged. Wipe it clean, press it back into a clean hole and it seats the same way. Replace any grommet that's cracked, torn or gone hard.

Q: What's actually in the 210-piece case?
A: Nine sizes, sorted by hole diameter from 6.35mm up to 25.4mm, with more of the common small-to-mid sizes and fewer of the largest. All 210 pieces sit in one divided case so the right size is easy to find without hunting through a loose bag. Full quantities per size are in the size table above.

Q: Are these open or closed grommets?
A: These are all open (pass-through) grommets, meant for cable or hose to feed through. If a blank plug for a hole is what's needed instead, look at the 125-piece kit which includes both open and closed styles.

Q: Do I need to drill a specific hole size?
A: The grommet's outside diameter needs to match the panel hole diameter listed in the size table. If the hole was punched at an odd size, either enlarge it slightly to the next standard size or step down to a smaller grommet with a matching outside diameter.

Q: What are they made from and how long do they last?
A: Rubber, which flexes to grip the panel and seals against vibration. Under UV, engine heat, moisture and workshop chemicals, rubber grommets typically outlast the vehicle they're fitted in. Sustained petroleum-based fluid exposure is the one thing that softens the rubber, so keep the case dry.
