A side-mount steel plate that bolts a Redarc BCDC charger to an engine bay, chassis rail, under-tray or cabin wall. Fits the Classic25 (BCDC1225D), Classic40 (BCDC1240D), Classic50 (BCDC1250D) and the BCDC1220 using the charger's existing mounting holes. Positions the charger clear of the firewall or battery tray so the ventilation fins stay unobstructed.

Stamped from 3mm zinc-plated steel to resist rust in salt air, under-tray spray and underbody grit. Overall 170mm long, 131mm wide, 30mm deep, with 7mm fixing holes. Comes as a flat plate ready to mount with M6 bolts and spring washers to the chosen panel or rail.

Fits the Redarc Classic-range BCDCs and the BCDC1220 only. Does not fit the Redarc Alpha25, Alpha50, Alpha75 or any Manager-range BMS, which use larger housings and need their own brackets.

  • 3mm zinc-plated steel — stays rust-free under-tray or in salt air
  • Fits four BCDC models — Classic25, Classic40, Classic50 and BCDC1220
  • Flat side-mount plate — bolts to firewall, chassis rail or cabin wall
  • 7mm fixing holes — accepts M6 bolts with washers
  • Keeps vents clear — positions the charger away from heat sources

Q: Which Redarc BCDC chargers does this bracket fit?
Fits the Redarc BCDC Classic25 (BCDC1225D), Classic40 (BCDC1240D), Classic50 (BCDC1250D) and the BCDC1220. Those four chargers share the same mounting-hole pattern on the long side of the case, which is what this bracket is cut for.

Q: Does it fit the Alpha25, Alpha50, Alpha75 or Manager-range chargers?
No. The Alpha and Manager-range units use larger housings with different mounting-hole patterns, so this bracket will not line up. Use the Alpha-specific or Manager-specific brackets Redarc publishes for those models.

Q: Is this a genuine Redarc bracket?
No. This is an aftermarket bracket we hold as a cheaper alternative to Redarc's own BCDCMB-007 universal mounting bracket. It does the same job on the Classic range and the BCDC1220 at a lower price. Both perform the same function; the Redarc bracket is 304 stainless steel, this one is 3mm zinc-plated steel.

Q: Where can I mount the charger using this bracket?
Anywhere there is a flat surface and clear airflow around the charger's fins. Common locations are the firewall in the engine bay, a chassis rail, an under-tray crossmember, or an interior cabin wall. Keep the charger clear of exhaust manifolds and radiator fans and leave at least 25mm of clearance around the fins so heat can escape.

Q: What size bolts do I need?
The fixing holes are 7mm, which fits M6 bolts with standard spring and flat washers. Length depends on what you are bolting to; most engine-bay installs use M6 x 20mm into a captive nut or through-bolt with a Nyloc on the back.

Q: Does it come with bolts and nuts?
No. Only the bracket is supplied. Mounting hardware varies with the vehicle and the panel you are bolting to, so there is no single kit that suits every install. Grab the right M6 bolts, spring washers and Nylocs or captive nuts to suit the panel.

Q: What is the bracket made from and will it rust?
3mm cold-rolled steel with a zinc electroplated finish. Zinc plating resists corrosion well in engine-bay and under-dash conditions. For heavy salt exposure, such as a boat helm or a vehicle running regular beach work, Redarc's own BCDCMB-007 (304 stainless) is the better pick.

Q: Can I install the bracket myself?
Yes. Mounting the bracket is a drill-and-bolt job with hand tools. Transferring the charger onto it uses the four M6 bolts already in the charger kit. Wiring the charger itself is a separate step and should follow the Redarc wiring diagram for the model you have, with correct fuse size at each battery.
