A 4 pack of anodised aluminium corner brackets that bolt a 5W to 150W solar panel flat to a roof. Lines up with the factory-drilled holes on the panel frame, no modification or drilling into the panel. Fits caravan roofs, 4WD canopies, motorhome tops, boat cabin roofs and workshop sheds with a flat mounting surface.

Each bracket measures 101 by 66 by 43mm with an 8mm T-bolt hole for the panel mount side and a smaller through-hole for the roof side. Anodised finish holds up against UV and salt air. Black and silver stainless hardware is included, so the panel-side bolts stay hidden under the frame and the roof-side bolts match a dark exterior.

Wind rated to 50 metres per second and snow rated to 3 kilonewtons per square metre as a 4-corner mount with the panel seated flat. Use the full 4 brackets on panels at the upper end of the 5 to 150W range and seal around the roof-side fastener holes to keep weather out of the cabin.

Pairs with

  • Anodised aluminium — resists UV, salt and corrosion
  • Fits 5W to 150W panels — covers the common 4WD and caravan range
  • No panel drilling — lines up with factory frame holes
  • Low-profile mount — 43mm clearance for airflow
  • Two-tone hardware — black and silver stainless included
  • 8mm T-bolt slot — pairs with standard roof-rack T-channel
  • Wind rated — 50 metres per second as a 4-corner set
  • Snow load rated — 3 kilonewtons per square metre

Q: What size solar panels do these brackets fit?
They cover 5 watt to 150 watt panels. Any solar panel in that wattage range with standard pre-drilled frame holes bolts up with the T-bolt hardware.

Q: What does anodised aluminium mean?
Anodising is an electrochemical surface treatment that thickens the natural aluminium oxide layer. The hard oxide shell makes the bracket more resistant to UV fading, salt corrosion and surface wear than untreated aluminium.

Q: Do I need to drill my solar panel?
No. The brackets bolt through the factory-drilled holes on the panel's own aluminium frame. The only drilling is through the roof or mounting surface for the bracket's base fasteners.

Q: Will these fit a roof rack with T-channel?
Yes. The panel-side mount is an 8mm T-bolt hole that drops into any standard 8mm T-channel found on Rhino, Yakima, Thule and most 4WD roof-rack platforms.

Q: Are they suitable for coastal and marine use?
Yes. Anodised aluminium combined with stainless steel hardware holds up to salt spray and UV. Bed the roof-side fasteners in marine sealant for a watertight seal through the cabin or hull.

Q: What hardware is included?
Four brackets, black and silver stainless steel bolts, washers and nuts. Black hardware for the top-side where it stays visible against the panel; silver stainless for the roof fasteners that go through the mounting surface.

Q: Can I use fewer than 4 brackets per panel?
Four brackets is the designed count for the published wind and snow ratings. On panels at the lower end of the 5 to 150W range three may work for sheltered installations, but 4 is the standard install and the only count the published ratings apply to.

Q: What is the wind rating?
50 metres per second (around 180 km/h) when all 4 brackets are used on a panel seated flat on a solid roof. That is a cyclonic-strength figure, well above typical highway and open-road loads.

Q: How much clearance is there under the panel for airflow?
43mm. The bracket height lifts the panel off the roof surface, letting air flow underneath to cool the cells and letting rain run off instead of pooling.

Q: Will they fit on a curved roof?
The brackets are flat-footed and designed for a flat mounting surface. On a curved roof the mounting base will not sit flush and the fastener seal will leak. Flat canopy roofs, caravan roofs and workshop sheds are the intended surfaces.
