A moulded ABS surface-mount panel with three cavities that each take a standard 29mm accessory socket, USB outlet, volt meter or amp meter. It gives you a tidy, purpose-built face for three outlets or gauges instead of drilling three separate holes into a dash, camper wall or console face.

The housing sits on the surface with the sockets recessed inside its walls, so the finished install looks like a factory switch panel rather than a row of loose accessories. It suits 4WD dashboards, caravan side walls, camper drawers, boat bulkheads and any face where two or three 12V or 24V accessories need to sit together and stay accessible.

Fixes flush against the surface with two screws or with double-sided mounting tape. Screws and tape are not supplied, because the correct fixing depends on what you are mounting to. Wiring runs through the back of each cavity to the socket's own terminals.

ABS mounting panel for accessory sockets and meters

Q: What size sockets fit these cavities?
A: Standard 29 mm diameter accessory sockets, USB outlets, volt meters or amp meters. Anything sold as a 29 mm panel-mount 12V or 24V accessory will drop in from the front. Older imperial-sized gauges (1-1/8 inch is close but not identical) can bind, so measure before ordering.

Q: Do I need to buy the sockets separately?
A: Yes. The panel is the housing only. You choose which sockets or meters go in it, so you can mix an accessory socket, USB, volt meter and amp meter to suit how the panel gets used. See the Sockets and meters that fit links in the description for compatible options.

Q: What is it made of?
A: Moulded ABS plastic. Hard-wearing enough for a dash face, glovebox side, drawer end, camper wall or boat bulkhead. It is not designed for direct exhaust heat or outdoor mounting without a weatherproof socket in each cavity.

Q: How do I fix it to the surface?
A: Two screws through the mounting ears at each end, or double-sided mounting tape across the back if the surface will not take screws. Fixings are not supplied because the right screw or tape depends on what the panel is going onto.

Q: Is it weatherproof?
A: The housing itself is plain ABS with open backs, so it does not seal against water. If the install site sees rain, splash or dust, use a socket with its own weatherproof cover in each cavity and mount the panel on a face where water runs off rather than pools.

Q: When should I pick the single, dual or triple panel?
A: Match cavity count to how many outlets you need in one place. Single is for one accessory. Dual is for two, typically a socket plus a volt meter. Triple is for three, typically two sockets plus a gauge, or a full row of USB, accessory and cig-plug.

Q: Can I mount it vertically or upside down?
A: Yes. The panel does not care about orientation. Practical concern: if the panel is oriented so that water or debris can fall into an open cavity, use socket covers or a socket that keeps its own opening pointing sideways.

Q: Will it fit in a 4WD dash cut-out?
A: Depends on the vehicle and the flat area available. The panel needs about 155 mm wide by 55 mm tall on the outside, with 80 mm of depth behind for the sockets and their wiring. Measure the intended spot before ordering, because sockets stick out around 50 mm back from the panel face.

Q: What does surface mount actually mean?
A: The panel body sits on top of the surface rather than dropping into a cut-out. You only need a small hole behind each cavity for the socket wiring to pass through, not a full 29 mm hole per socket in the dash itself.
