A steel bracket that mounts the Diesel Heat 10L black wafer fuel tank to the floor of a caravan storage compartment, under a camper bench or against the inside wall of a vehicle tray or canopy. Carries the tank, the outlet spigot and the fuel-level gauge in the orientation they were designed to sit in.

Fabricated from mild steel with a stabiliser arm that pins the top of the tank. Three M8 bolts run through the tank, bracket and stabiliser arm so the fuel tank itself clamps the whole assembly together. The base is pre-drilled for four TEK screws into the mounting surface. The outlet spigot can be swapped to the other side so the fuel line routes toward the heater either way.

The three M8 bolts are included. The four TEK screws or bolts for the mounting surface are not. Pick fasteners rated for the surface the bracket lands on, and keep the fuel line clear of the heater exhaust, sharp panel edges and anywhere a tray-floor flex could rub it.

Pairs with

  • Steel construction — holds the full 10L fuel tank weight in motion.
  • Stabiliser arm — pins the top of the tank so it won't rock on the mount.
  • 3× M8 bolts included — tank itself clamps the bracket and stabiliser arm together.
  • Pre-drilled base — four TEK-screw landings for the mounting surface.
  • Reversible outlet — spigot swaps to either side for clean fuel-line routing.
  • Low-profile mount — fits under benches, in compartments and on tray floors.
  • Matched to the 10L wafer tank — purpose-built hardware, not a universal clamp.

mounts the Diesel Heat 10L black wafer fuel tank in caravans, campervans, tray-back utes, canopies and under-bench cavities.
Fits the Diesel Heat 10L black wafer tank.
Mounts to any flat, structurally sound surface with four user-supplied TEK screws or bolts.
Does not fit jerry-can style or cylindrical fuel tanks.

Q: What is a wafer fuel tank?
A flat, panel-shaped diesel fuel tank designed for diesel air heaters. The wafer profile is shallow, around 80mm thick, so it fits in cavities a jerry-can style tank won't, like under a camper bench, inside a canopy wall or along the floor of a caravan boot.

Q: Which tank does this bracket fit?
The Diesel Heat 10L black wafer fuel tank with lockable cap and gauge, or the digital-level-sender version of the same tank. The bolt pattern, stabiliser-arm position and base footprint are matched to that tank specifically; it won't carry a jerry-can style tank.

Q: What's in the box?
The bracket, the stabiliser arm and three M8 bolts. The three M8 bolts run through the tank itself to clamp the whole assembly together.

Q: What fasteners do I need to supply?
Four TEK screws, or an equivalent surface fixing, for the pre-drilled base holes. Pick a fastener rated for the material you're mounting to: self-drilling TEK into steel or hardwood, coach bolt and nut through a timber floor, machine screw and backing plate behind thin sheet. The base is pre-drilled so no further drilling is needed on the bracket.

Q: Can I mount the tank with the outlet on either side?
Yes. The outlet spigot swaps to the opposite side of the tank, so the fuel line can route left or right. Decide which way the heater sits before final-tightening the three M8 bolts and the orientation is set.

Q: Where can I mount the bracket in my build?
Anywhere the base can land flat on a structurally sound surface and the tank clears above it. Common spots are inside a canopy against the side wall, under a dinette bench, on the floor of a caravan storage boot, in a tray-back wheel-well cavity, or against a camper bulkhead.

Q: What's the bracket made from, and will it hold a full 10L tank?
Mild steel, built as a rear-mount bracket with a stabiliser arm. 10L of diesel weighs about 8.5 kg, so a filled tank plus hardware sits around 11 to 12 kg on the bracket. It's engineered for that full-tank weight under vehicle motion when the surface fixings are rated correctly for the mount.

Q: Can I bolt it to plastic or an unsupported panel?
No. The bracket needs a structural landing: steel panel, hardwood ply, bolted-through composite with a backing plate, or a reinforced tray floor. Thin plastic liner, unsupported ABS or a hollow trim panel won't hold a fuel tank's weight through vehicle flex.

Q: What warranty is included?
2-year Diesel Heat warranty against manufacturing defects.

Q: Is there an installation guide?
Yes. Diesel Heat publishes a PDF guide covering bracket orientation, bolt order and surface preparation. The guide is linked under the user manual on this page.
