The Century EverRide YIX30L is a 12V 30Ah AGM motorcycle battery that cranks big-capacity sports, touring and powersport bikes at 400 cold-cranking amps. It fits Harley-Davidson FLHX, FLHR and FLHT Touring from 1997, BMW R-series tourers, Honda Gold Wing GL1500 and most other builds that need the YIX30L case.

The case measures 166 by 126 by 173mm and weighs 9.48kg. Lead-calcium cast grid plates pack 30Ah into that footprint and cut gassing and self-discharge compared with older antimony plates. AGM VRLA construction seals the acid between glass mats, so there is no spill and the battery mounts on any angle. Terminal Type A posts sit on the standard motorcycle layout, negative on the left and positive on the right.

Ships dry-charged. Fill with the supplied acid pack, let it rest and heat-seal the lid before first fit, following the Century EverRide user manual. Charge on a dedicated AGM-profile charger (Century's CC6121.2 is the matched unit). A straight automotive charger will boil off the electrolyte and shorten the life.

  • AGM VRLA sealed — mounts on any angle, no spill
  • 400 cold-cranking amps — spins up big V-twins and large sports bikes
  • Lead-calcium grid — low self-discharge, lower gassing
  • Vibration-resistant — built for high-rev engines and rough roads
  • Maintenance-free — sealed caps after dry-charge activation
  • Terminal Type A — standard motorcycle polarity, negative left

Fits large-capacity motorcycles taking the YIX30L / YTX30L case.
Harley-Davidson FLHX, FLHR, FLHT Touring (1997 on)
BMW R-series tourers using the 30Ah case
Honda Gold Wing GL1500
Large-displacement Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki touring/sports bikes rated for 400CCA
Lithium-only bikes (needs AGM-rated regulator)

Q: What does AGM actually mean?
Absorbed Glass Mat. The acid is soaked into glass mats between the plates instead of sitting as free liquid, so the battery is sealed, cannot spill, and resists vibration. All EverRide motorcycle batteries use this construction.

Q: What does CCA actually mean?
Cold Cranking Amps. The current the battery delivers for 30 seconds at -18°C while holding above 7.2V. Higher CCA means more cranking punch to spin a cold engine. The YIX30L is rated at 400CCA.

Q: What does Ah actually mean?
Amp-hours. The reserve capacity for powering accessories (lights, alarm, GPS) with the engine off. 30Ah means the battery holds roughly 30 amps for one hour, or one amp for 30 hours, before it is flat.

Q: Does it ship ready to install?
No. The YIX30L ships dry-charged with a sealed acid pack. Fill, let it rest and heat-seal the lid per the Century EverRide user manual before fitting. The activation takes about an hour. A battery shop can do the activation for a small fee if you'd rather not.

Q: Can I mount it on its side?
Yes. The AGM construction is sealed so the battery can mount on any angle without spilling. Keep the vent clear and don't lay it upside down for long periods.

Q: Will my existing charger work?
Only if it has an AGM mode. A straight automotive charger pushes voltage too high for AGM, which boils off electrolyte and shortens the life. Use a smart charger with an AGM profile; Century's own CC6121.2 is the matched unit.

Q: Which bikes take a YIX30L?
Large-capacity cruisers, tourers and powersport bikes needing 400CCA cranking in a 166 × 126 × 173mm case. Common fitments include Harley-Davidson FLHX, FLHR and FLHT Touring from 1997, BMW R-series touring models, Honda Gold Wing GL1500, and large touring Yamaha and Kawasaki builds. Check your bike's manual or current battery label for the YIX30L / YTX30L fitment code.

Q: How long will it last?
Typical motorcycle AGM batteries last 3-5 years with regular use and a charger kept on during long storage. Short trips, deep discharge, and heat all shorten life. A trickle charger over winter adds years.

Q: What's the terminal type?
Terminal Type A. A round-post terminal in a square body on the standard motorcycle layout, negative on the left end and positive on the right. Matches factory fitment on YIX30L / YTX30L bikes.
