The Century EverRide YTZ14S is a 12V 11.2Ah AGM motorcycle battery that cranks mid-displacement sports bikes at 230 cold-cranking amps. It fits Honda CBR600RR, VFR800 Interceptor, Suzuki GSX-R600, Yamaha YZF-R6, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R and other builds that take the YTZ14S case.

The case measures 150 by 88 by 110mm and weighs 3.82kg. Lead-calcium cast grid plates pack 11.2Ah into that low-profile footprint and cut gassing and self-discharge compared with older antimony plates. AGM VRLA construction seals the acid between glass mats, so there is no spill and the battery mounts on any angle. Terminal Type A posts sit on the standard motorcycle layout, negative on the left and positive on the right.

Ships factory-activated and ready to install. No acid pack to pour, no rest-and-seal step. Charge on a dedicated AGM-profile charger (Century's CC6121.2 is the matched unit) if the battery has been sitting on the shelf for several months. A straight automotive charger will boil off the electrolyte and shorten the life.

  • Factory-activated — install straight out of the box
  • AGM VRLA sealed — mounts on any angle, no spill
  • 230 cold-cranking amps — strong starting for mid-displacement sports engines
  • Lead-calcium grid — low self-discharge, lower gassing
  • Low-profile 110mm case — fits tight sports-bike battery boxes
  • Terminal Type A — standard motorcycle polarity, negative left

Q: What does AGM actually mean?
Absorbed Glass Mat. The acid is soaked into glass mats between the plates instead of sitting as free liquid, so the battery is sealed, cannot spill, and resists vibration.

Q: What does CCA actually mean?
Cold Cranking Amps. The current the battery delivers for 30 seconds at -18°C while holding above 7.2V. The YTZ14S is rated at 230CCA.

Q: What does Ah actually mean?
Amp-hours. The reserve capacity with the engine off. 11.2Ah means roughly 11 amps for one hour, or one amp for 11 hours, before flat.

Q: What's the difference between YTZ and YTX?
YTZ batteries ship factory-activated and are ready to install. YTX batteries ship dry-charged with a sealed acid pack that pours into the battery before first use. YTZ14S is YTZ — install straight out of the box.

Q: Does it ship ready to install?
Yes. Factory-activated — no acid pack to pour, no rest-and-seal step. If the battery has been sitting on the shelf for several months, give it a top-up charge on an AGM-mode charger before fitting.

Q: Can I mount it on its side?
Yes. The AGM construction is sealed; mount on any angle without spilling. Keep the vent clear.

Q: Will my existing charger work?
Only if it has an AGM mode. A straight automotive charger pushes voltage too high for AGM, which boils off electrolyte. Use a smart charger with an AGM profile; Century's CC6121.2 is the matched unit.

Q: Which bikes take a YTZ14S?
Mid-displacement sports bikes needing 230CCA in a low-profile 150 × 88 × 110mm case. Common fitments include Honda CBR600RR, VFR800 Interceptor, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Yamaha YZF-R6 and FZ6, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R/ZX-9R, and Triumph Daytona 675.

Q: How long will it last?
Typical motorcycle AGM batteries last 3-5 years with regular use and a charger kept on during long storage. A trickle charger over winter adds years.
