The Century EverRide YTZ7V is a 12V 6.5Ah AGM motorcycle battery that cranks small sports bikes and powersport builds at 105 cold-cranking amps. It fits Yamaha YZF-R6 (2006 on), WR250R/X, Honda CBR250R and other small-displacement sports and dual-sport builds that take the YTZ7V case.

The case measures 113 by 70 by 121mm and weighs 2.34kg. Lead-calcium cast grid plates pack 6.5Ah into that compact footprint and cut gassing and self-discharge compared with older antimony plates. AGM VRLA construction seals the acid between glass mats, so there is no spill and the battery mounts on any angle. Terminal Type A posts sit on the standard motorcycle layout, negative on the left and positive on the right.

Ships factory-activated and ready to install. No acid pack to pour, no rest-and-seal step. Charge on a dedicated AGM-profile charger (Century's CC6121.2 is the matched unit) if the battery has been sitting on the shelf for several months. A straight automotive charger will boil off the electrolyte and shorten the life.

  • Factory-activated — install straight out of the box
  • AGM VRLA sealed — mounts on any angle, no spill
  • 105 cold-cranking amps — enough for small sports and dual-sport engines
  • Lead-calcium grid — low self-discharge for infrequent-use bikes
  • Compact case — fits tight battery boxes in modern sports bikes
  • Terminal Type A — standard motorcycle polarity, negative left

Q: What does AGM actually mean?
Absorbed Glass Mat. The acid is soaked into glass mats between the plates, so the battery is sealed, cannot spill, and resists vibration.

Q: What does CCA actually mean?
Cold Cranking Amps. The current the battery delivers for 30 seconds at -18°C while holding above 7.2V. The YTZ7V is rated at 105CCA.

Q: What does Ah actually mean?
Amp-hours. The reserve capacity with the engine off. 6.5Ah means roughly 6.5 amps for one hour.

Q: Does it ship ready to install?
Yes. Factory-activated — no acid pack to pour. Top up on an AGM charger before fit if it has been on the shelf for months.

Q: What's the difference between YTZ and YTX?
YTZ batteries ship factory-activated. YTX ship dry-charged with an acid pack. YTZ7V is YTZ — ready to install.

Q: Can I mount it on its side?
Yes. The AGM construction is sealed; mount on any angle without spilling. Keep the vent clear.

Q: Will my existing charger work?
Only if it has an AGM mode. Use a smart charger with an AGM profile; Century's CC6121.2 is the matched unit.

Q: Which bikes take a YTZ7V?
Small sports and dual-sport bikes needing 105CCA in a 113 × 70 × 121mm case. Common fitments include Yamaha YZF-R6 (2006 on), WR250R/X, Honda CBR250R and CRF250L, Kawasaki Ninja 250R and 300, and Suzuki GSX-R600 (2006 on).

Q: How long will it last?
Typical motorcycle AGM batteries last 3-5 years with regular use and a charger kept on during long storage.
