Monitor charging state, view state-of-charge, and set the battery profile through the Redarc app over Bluetooth. Six charge profiles cover AGM, gel, calcium, standard lead-acid, LiFePO4 lithium and custom setups. Green Power Priority uses solar first to reduce alternator load.

Smart alternator vehicles and multi-charger setups. Our workshop always hardwires an ignition trigger to the charger on late-model vehicles with stop-start or variable-voltage smart alternators, and on any build with more than one BCDC (for example a charger in the vehicle plus a second charger in the caravan) so all chargers only run when the vehicle is running. Ask us if you're unsure whether your vehicle needs this.

Output is 12V. For a 24V system, use the Redarc BCDC2420 instead.

Rated for in-cabin installation, near the auxiliary battery bank so the shunt has a short lead. Backed by a 5 year Redarc warranty.

Q: What does the R mean?
A: R = integrated battery management. The Alpha 100R combines the Alpha DC-DC charger with a shunt-based battery manager in one unit — top of the Alpha range at 100A.

Q: Do I still need a separate battery monitor?
A: No — the Alpha 100R has the shunt built in and reports state-of-charge in the Redarc app.

Q: Which chemistries does it support?
A: 6 profiles including LiFePO4.

Q: Where does it mount?
A: In-cabin, near the auxiliary battery bank.

Q: What cable size?
A: 2 B&S is our workshop preference on 100A. Redarc will spec larger — 2 B&S covers the runs typical of 4WD and caravan installs. Do not go smaller.
