The REDARC BCDC Core 25 (BCDCN1225) is a compact 12V 25A DC-DC battery charger for a 12V auxiliary battery bank, for in-cabin installations where you don't need MPPT solar input or Bluetooth. Cheaper and simpler than the Classic and Alpha ranges — for builds that just need reliable alternator-to-auxiliary charging.
Multi-stage charging with profiles for AGM, gel, calcium, standard lead-acid and LiFePO4 lithium banks.
Smart alternator vehicles and multi-charger setups. Our workshop always hardwires an ignition trigger to the charger on late-model vehicles with stop-start or variable-voltage smart alternators, and on any build with more than one BCDC (for example a charger in the vehicle plus a second charger in the caravan) so all chargers only run when the vehicle is running. Ask us if you're unsure whether your vehicle needs this.
Output is 12V. The 9-32V input range means it will run on a 12V or 24V vehicle, but the output is always 12V. For a 24V system, use the Redarc BCDC2420 instead.
