A stainless steel hold-down that replaces the factory Toyota Hilux N80 battery clamp with a raised profile for DIN batteries with tall terminals, and integrates mounts for a MEGA fuse holder beside the battery. Bolts to the Hilux N80 battery tray threads. Fits 2015-2025 Hilux models including Workmate, SR, SR5, Rogue, Rugged X and GR Sport.

Bare stainless steel with a natural brushed finish. Stainless resists corrosion from salt spray and underbonnet moisture without needing paint or powder-coat, so there's no coating to chip or peel over the life of the bracket. The raised top profile clears tall DIN-terminal batteries where a standard flat clamp sits too low. The side mounting pattern accepts a MEGA fuse holder bolted directly into the bracket, so the main battery feed and chassis fuse sit next to the battery rather than cable-strapped to the inner guard.

The MEGA fuse holder is sold separately. Size the fuse to the cable it protects, not the load or alternator; a cable fused above its rating is a fire risk. Disconnect the battery before unbolting the factory clamp and refit to the Toyota torque spec.

Pairs with

  • Vehicle-fit — bolts to the Toyota Hilux N80 battery tray
  • Raised profile — clears DIN batteries with tall terminals
  • MEGA mount — integrated holes for a MEGA fuse holder
  • Stainless steel — natural corrosion resistance, no coating to chip
  • Natural brushed finish — bare stainless, no powder-coat
  • Low profile — keeps bonnet clearance
  • Elevate-made — fabricated in Perth for Australian conditions

Q: What's a DIN battery?
A European standard for automotive battery size and terminal layout. Common in modern Toyotas and most 4WDs sold in Australia. DIN batteries have the posts recessed into the top of the case; some tall-terminal DIN batteries need the raised profile this bracket provides.

Q: What's a MEGA fuse?
Also called AMG, MEGA is the bolt-down cartridge fuse format used on heavy DC circuits from 40A up to 500A. Two M8 studs hold the fuse body between a holder's terminals. Standard choice for main battery feeds and winch circuits.

Q: Does the MEGA fuse holder come with it?
No. This is the bracket only. Pair it with our MEGA Fuse Holder (bolt-down with cover) and a MEGA Blade Fuse in the amperage you need.

Q: Will this fit my Hilux?
Fits the Toyota Hilux N80 generation (2015-2025) across Workmate, SR, SR5, SR5+, Rogue, Rugged X, GR Sport and Invincible X trims, petrol and diesel. If you have an older N70 Hilux (2005-2015), this bracket won't fit — the factory clamp pattern changed with the N80.

Q: What's the difference between a raised and flat hold-down?
Flat hold-downs sit on top of a battery with recessed terminals. Raised hold-downs give extra clearance for batteries with tall or 'stud'-style terminals that stand proud of the case. If your battery has posts that stick up noticeably from the top, you need a raised bracket.

Q: What MEGA fuse size should I run?
Size the fuse to the cable it protects, not the load. A main battery feed on 50mm² cable usually takes a 150-200A MEGA; a dual-battery lead on 25mm² usually takes 125A. Err slightly below the cable's current rating, not above — a fuse exists to blow before the cable overheats.

Q: Can I use this on a Toyota Fortuner?
The Hilux and Fortuner share the IMV platform but the engine-bay layout and battery clamp pattern differ. This bracket is sized for the Hilux factory thread spacing. Don't force it to fit the Fortuner.

Q: Does it come with mounting bolts?
The bracket reuses the factory Hilux battery-clamp threads so the OEM bolts carry over. For the MEGA fuse holder itself, check your holder's hardware pack — Elevate's bolt-down MEGA holder ships with M8 studs that bolt straight into the bracket mounting holes.

Q: Will it work alongside a dual-battery setup?
This bracket secures the main cranking battery in the factory position. If you're adding a second battery, that goes on a dedicated auxiliary tray (passenger side on most N80 Hiluxes), not under this hold-down.

Q: Can I install it myself?
Straightforward for anyone comfortable disconnecting a car battery. Pull the negative terminal first, remove the OEM clamp, drop the raised bracket into the same bolt locations and refit the clamp bolts to the Toyota torque spec. If you're wiring the MEGA fuse feed as well, that's a step up — our workshop handles it if you'd rather have us do it.
