A compact pass-through plate that lets you run an Anderson plug, Deutsch connector or AN-6 fitting through a panel without cutting a jagged hole. The angled version keeps the fitting at a right angle to the panel surface; the straight version sits flush. Fits canopy walls, dash panels, battery trays, engine bay bulkheads and marine cabinet sides on 4WDs, caravans, utes and boats.

Cut from 3mm stainless steel with a natural brushed finish, so the surface stays corrosion-free in salt-spray and underbonnet heat without a coat to chip off. A 17mm centre bore accepts the common pass-through diameters for Anderson 50A, Deutsch DT, AN-3 to AN-8 and standard rubber grommets. Two 5mm mounting holes on 25mm centres take M5 bolts, rivnuts or self-tappers.

The plate drills clean, but check for cable runs or chassis members behind the panel before you commit the holes. The fitting itself is sold separately, so pick the connector first and match its retainer or body thickness against the plate before ordering.

It's a flat mounting plate with a central hole that lets you run a connector through a panel without cutting a rough opening. The connector sits in the centre bore and bolts to the plate; the plate bolts to the panel.

Q: What fittings pass through the 17mm hole?
The 17mm centre bore matches Anderson 50A, Deutsch DT, AN-3 through AN-8 fittings and standard rubber grommets. The hole fits the pass-through diameter; the fitting's own retainer or nut clamps against the plate face.

Q: Does the plate come with the connector?
No. The plate is sold on its own. Pick the Anderson, Deutsch or AN fitting you need and match its body thickness against the plate before ordering.

Q: When should I pick the angled plate over the straight one?
Pick angled when the connector needs to sit at a right angle to the surface, like a vertical cabinet wall where you want the plug facing out horizontally. Pick straight when the connector sits flush to a flat panel.

Q: What material is it made from?
304 stainless steel, 3mm thick, with a natural brushed finish. Bare stainless resists corrosion from salt spray, chemicals and underbonnet heat without a coating to chip or peel.

Q: Why bare stainless instead of powder-coated?
Powder-coat hides the stainless and chips off when scraped or over-tightened. Brushed bare stainless is the corrosion resistance, so leaving it uncoated keeps the whole surface protected for the life of the plate.

Q: How do I mount it?
Two 5mm clearance holes on 25mm centres take M5 bolts, rivnuts or self-tapping screws. Drill through sheet steel, aluminium or composite with a 5mm bit, then bolt up. No template needed; the plate itself is the drill guide.

Q: Does the mounting hardware come in the box?
No. The plate ships on its own. M5 hardware is standard across most workshops, so pick bolts, rivnuts or self-tappers to match the panel you're mounting to.

Q: Can I install it myself?
Yes if you can drill and bolt a 5mm hole. The plate takes about 10 minutes per mount once the hole positions are marked, and the connector itself usually clips or screws in from the back.
