A single-plate distribution hub that lands every DC lead from a dual-battery setup (alternator, DC-DC charger, solar input, aux battery, fridge, lights, winch feed) into one labelled, fused panel. Takes 150A on the aux-battery side, 80A each on the start-battery and DC-DC inputs, and both regulated and unregulated solar. Fits 4WD canopies, caravan cabinets, camper trailers, utes and marine helms running 12V or 24V DC.

The hub measures 270 by 110 by 60mm. Thirteen circuits break out across the face: ten general outputs at 25A, two medium outputs at 40A continuous (80A intermittent), and one high-current output at 80A. All circuits run through standard ATO blade and MAXI fuses that drop straight in; a red LED next to each position lights up if its fuse blows. Spare fuse holders are built into the panel, three MAXI and five ATO, so a replacement is always a few seconds away.

What sets it apart

One labelled face — every DC lead at one spot, no custom bus bars or stacked holders.

Fuse-blow LEDs — red light next to each position shows at a glance which circuit dropped.

Standard ATO + MAXI — no proprietary spares, both types stocked at every auto counter.

DC-DC compatible — pairs with Redarc BCDC, Victron Orion and Enerdrive DC2DC chargers.

12V and 24V — same hub either system voltage, passive distribution only.

On-board spare holders — three MAXI plus five ATO positions carry replacements.

Made in Western Australia — Egon's own assembly, 4-year warranty.

Installation

Mount the hub on a flat surface close to the aux battery. The base plate carries bolt holes for a direct install, or source Egon's dedicated bracket-and-cover for a weatherproofed finish.

Wire the aux-battery side with up to 1 B&S cable (3 B&S fits more comfortably and still carries 100A continuous). Wire the start-battery side with up to 6 B&S cable. Match the fuse at each source battery to the cable size, not just to the hub's input rating.

Every port is labelled on the face plate and the printed wiring guide ships in the box. Detailed PDFs covering wire sizing, torque settings and system-specific integration with Redarc, Victron and Enerdrive DC-DC chargers are published on Egon's site. For complex installs or when you want it done once, our workshop handles DC-Hub installs daily.

Fuse every circuit at or below the connected cable's rating. The LEDs flag a blown fuse at a glance, and the on-board spare holders mean a trailside swap takes seconds.

Pairs with

  • One-point wiring — every DC lead at one labelled panel.
  • Fuse-blow LEDs — red light per circuit shows a dropped fuse.
  • Standard fuses — ATO blade and MAXI, no proprietary spares.
  • On-board spares — 3 MAXI plus 5 ATO holders built in.
  • DC-DC compatible — pairs with Redarc, Victron and Enerdrive.
  • 12V and 24V — same unit for either system voltage.
  • Made in WA — Egon's own assembly.

Q: What does a DC power distribution hub actually do?
A: It replaces the mess of individual bus bars, isolators and fuse holders in a dual-battery build. One hub takes every DC lead (alternator, DC-DC, solar, aux battery, fridge, lights) and puts it through fused outputs on a single labelled face. Fewer crimps, no custom bus bars, and every circuit has a dedicated fuse position with LED fault detection.

Q: What is the difference between an ATO and a MAXI fuse?
A: ATO is the standard automotive blade fuse, rated 3A to 30A, sold at every auto parts counter. MAXI is the physically larger blade fuse rated 20A to 100A, used for higher-current circuits like inverters, DC-DC chargers or heavy accessory feeds. The DC-Hub takes both, ATO for the 25A general outputs and MAXI for the 40A medium and 80A high-current outputs.

Q: Is this compatible with my DC-DC charger?
A: Yes. The DC-DC input accepts up to 80A and works with any DC-DC charger that outputs within that range, including Redarc BCDC, Victron Orion and Enerdrive DC2DC. Match the input fuse to the DC-DC's rated output current and feed it with the matching cable size.

Q: What size cable goes into each input?
A: The aux-battery side takes up to 1 B&S cable (fits snug, 3 B&S is more comfortable and still carries 100A continuous). The start-battery side takes up to 6 B&S. Match the cable to the fuse at the source battery, not just to the hub's rated input.

Q: Are fuses included?
A: No. Standard ATO blade and MAXI fuses are the two types this hub takes, both sold separately. The hub ships with spare fuse holders built in so you can carry replacements inside the unit.

Q: Does it come with the mounting bracket?
A: No. The DC-Hub mounts direct through its own base-plate bolt holes, no extra bracket needed for a functional install. For a finished weatherproof look, Egon's dedicated bracket-and-cover sits over the top of the hub.

Q: Do I need to be an auto electrician to install this?
A: No. The hub is designed so anyone with basic 12V wiring knowledge can connect every component through labelled ports, no custom lugs, bus bars, heat-shrink or crimping tools required. If you want it done by a workshop, our electricians handle these daily.

Q: Does the same unit work on 12V and 24V systems?
A: Yes. The hub is passive, it distributes voltage rather than regulating it, so it works on either 12V or 24V DC auxiliary systems. Match the fuses and cable sizes to the system voltage you are running.

Q: What happens when a fuse blows?
A: The red LED next to that fuse position lights up. The affected circuit goes dead, every other circuit keeps running. Pull the blown fuse, drop in a replacement from the on-board spare holders, LED goes out, circuit back on.

Q: How does this compare with the Redarc Manager30 RedVision?
A: The Manager30 is an active battery management system, it does DC-DC charging, solar regulation, voltage monitoring and load management all in one unit. The DC-Hub is a passive distribution-and-fuse panel, with the DC-DC charger separate and living upstream. The Manager30 suits all-in-one builds; the DC-Hub suits builds where the charger has already been chosen (Redarc, Victron, Enerdrive) and the job is clean, serviceable wiring downstream.
