A switching and distribution board that runs five 25A fused circuits off a single 80A supply, with both switched and constant outputs on every circuit. Each relay socket drives from an onboard override switch or an external remote. Fits dual battery systems, caravan 12V boards, canopy fit-outs, boat helms, camper trailers and off-grid cabins.

Mounts to the supplied bracket and cover, or screws straight to a panel with the included fastener kit. Screw terminals handle the lot, with no crimping, no lugs and no specialist tools. Five standard automotive relay sockets sit on the board, and LEDs show active outputs plus any blown output fuses at a glance. Supports 12V and 24V DC systems through the same main supply input.

Fuse the main supply externally at 80A, and match each output fuse to the circuit's cable size and load. Keep combined load across the board under 80A.

What sets it apart

Five fused circuits — 5 × 25A relay-switched outputs

Switched and constant — both supply modes on every circuit

Onboard override switches — manual bypass per circuit

80A main supply — single external fuse feeds the board

Screw-terminal wiring — no crimps or specialist tools

Status LEDs — active outputs and blown fuses at a glance

Bracket and cover — mount in the bracket or straight to a panel

Hand-assembled in WA — Western Australian build, 4-year warranty

Mount the board in the supplied bracket, or fix it directly to a flat surface with the included fastener kit. Pick a dry, protected spot behind a seat, under the dash, inside a canopy or in a battery box; the cover protects the terminals from accidental shorts.

Run the main 12V or 24V DC supply through an external 80A fuse (MIDI bolt-down works well) to the Supply terminals on the board. Keep this cable short and sized for 80A continuous: 10mm² minimum, or step up to 16mm² for runs over 2 metres. Terminate with a bare conductor straight into the screw clamp, no lugs needed.

Each of the five circuits has four labelled terminals: Supply, Load, Alt. Supply and Switch Input. Fit a 25A-rated (or smaller, to the load) blade fuse per circuit, then wire the Load terminal to the accessory. For remote switch control, run three-core or multi-core cable from the Switch Input terminals to the dash switches. For a constant-power leg on the same circuit, feed it from the Alt. Supply input, which bypasses the circuit's fuse.

Fit the five automotive relays into the sockets before powering up. Standard 4- or 5-pin automotive relays rated to 30A or more suit all five bays. Torque the screw terminals firmly, since loose contacts cause voltage drop and heat. Confirm every LED lights up when its circuit is active before closing the cover.

fits 12V or 24V DC auxiliary systems in 4WDs, utes, caravans, camper trailers, canopies, boats and off-grid cabins
Switched or constant loads on any circuit
Pairs with EGON DC-Hub or runs standalone
Not for starter-circuit switching — relays rated 25A per circuit, starter motors draw hundreds of amps
Not for 240V AC mains — 12V/24V DC only

Q: What is a relay hub, and how does it differ from a plain fuse block?
A fuse block protects circuits and spreads one supply to several loads. A relay hub does that too, but adds a switching layer in front of each fuse so a low-current trigger (an interior switch, a radio accessory wire, a timer) controls a high-current load. On the EGON Relay-Hub, five 25A relay-switched outputs sit behind five fuse positions, with onboard override switches and status LEDs. One board replaces a loose scatter of relays, fuse holders and bus bars.

Q: What does switched versus constant power mean on each circuit?
Switched power is the Load output, which only turns on when the relay is energised by a dash switch, remote trigger or the override. Constant power is a parallel leg off the Alt. Supply terminal that feeds the same circuit without passing through the relay, so it stays on all the time. Each circuit can carry one or the other, or both at once, as long as the combined load stays inside the fuse rating.

Q: What is a MIDI fuse, and why does the main supply need an external one?
MIDI fuses are bolt-down fuses rated from 30A to 200A, designed for the main supply feed where a standard blade fuse is undersized. The Relay-Hub pulls up to 80A total, so AS/NZS wiring practice puts a 60-80A fuse at the battery end of the supply cable to protect the whole run back to the board. An 80A MIDI in a bolt-down holder is the standard pick.

Q: Which relays do I need to buy for this?
Five standard automotive relays, 4-pin or 5-pin, rated to 30A continuous or more. Any brand that fits the standard automotive relay footprint works. For a drop-in bundle with the fuses already matched, our Relay & Fuse Kit for EGON Relay-Hub carries 5 relays plus the full fuse set.

Q: Can I run this on a 24V system or is it 12V only?
Both. The board accepts 12V or 24V DC on the main supply input, and the relays and switching logic work the same way on either voltage. Use 24V-rated relays if your main supply is 24V (most 30A automotive relays carry a 24V rating already).

Q: How much current can I pull through the whole board?
80A combined, matching the main supply rating. Each individual circuit tops out at 25A (fuse-limited), so five circuits running close to their fuse would exceed the 80A board total. Size the loads so the sum stays under 80A continuous.

Q: Can I use the Relay-Hub standalone, or do I need the EGON DC-Hub?
Standalone. The Relay-Hub works as its own fused switching board straight off any 12V or 24V DC supply. Paired with an EGON DC-Hub, it adds relay-switched circuits to the DC-Hub's always-on distribution; standalone, it does both jobs on the one board.

Q: Where should I mount it?
Dry, protected spot inside the vehicle or canopy: behind a seat, under the dash, inside the battery box, on the canopy wall. The cover protects terminals from accidental shorts but it is not weatherproof, so avoid direct water exposure and engine-bay heat.

Q: What size cable do I need for the main supply and the loads?
Main supply: 10mm² (8 AWG) minimum for 80A short runs, 16mm² (6 AWG) for runs over 2 metres. Load circuits: match the cable to the fuse size, so 25A gets at least 2.5mm² (14 AWG). Remote switch wiring to the Switch Input terminals carries almost no current; a 3-core trailer cable or 0.5mm² signal cable is plenty.

Q: Does the override switch bypass the fuse?
No. The onboard override just energises the relay manually when the remote switch is off, powering the Load terminal through its normal fuse path. The only unfused path on the board is the Alt. Supply input, which is why that leg needs its own external fuse sized to the cable and load.

Q: What is the warranty, and where is this built?
4-year EGON warranty against manufacturing defects. EGON is a Western Australian company and the Relay-Hub is hand-assembled in WA from European-sourced components.
