A padlock-ready lockout lever that fits over the 75907 and 75910 battery master switches and holds them in the OFF position. Fits a padlock through the lever hole once the switch is thrown, so the circuit stays dead until the padlock comes off. Suits mining utes, heavy-duty 4WDs, workshop vehicles, farm equipment and anything else that needs a lock-out tag-out procedure on the battery isolator.

Three colour options for easy coding on multi-vehicle sites: red for high-voltage or hazard, yellow for standard isolation, silver for workshop use. One-piece construction that fits the switch's existing mounting footprint, so no additional drilling or modification is needed. Overall size 48 by 48 by 31mm per lever.

Padlock not included. Choose a shackle diameter that fits the lever's padlock hole and matches the environment: hardened steel for mining, brass or stainless for marine, standard-grade for workshop. The lockout holds the switch in OFF only; the switch itself still carries the full isolation rating.

Pairs with

  • Isolator stays off — padlock locks the master switch in OFF
  • Fits 75907 & 75910 — matches both switch mounting footprints
  • Padlock-ready — through-hole accepts any standard padlock shackle
  • Three colour options — red, yellow or silver for site coding
  • No modification — mounts on existing switch footprint

Q: What does a battery isolator lockout actually do?
It is a mechanical lock-out tag-out (LOTO) accessory. Once the battery master switch is thrown to OFF, the lever cups over the switch so a padlock fits through the lever's hole, physically locking the switch in OFF until the padlock comes off. Standard safety practice on mining sites, workshops and heavy-duty fleets.

Q: Which switches does this fit?
KT 75907 and KT 75910 battery master switches, both the key and lever versions. If the vehicle already has one of these fitted, the lockout drops straight on.

Q: Does it fit any other brand of switch?
No. The lever is shaped to the 75907/75910 body and will not lock other switch patterns like Hella 6EK, Blue Sea m-Series or basic key-switch isolators. Measure the switch body against the 48×48×31mm envelope before buying if the fit is uncertain.

Q: Is a padlock included?
No. Pick a padlock with a shackle that passes through the lever hole and suits the environment: hardened steel for mining, brass or stainless for marine, standard-grade for workshop.

Q: Why three different colours?
All three are the same lever in a different powder-coat finish. Red flags high-voltage or hazard, yellow is the standard LOTO colour on most sites, silver is quieter for workshop or in-cab use. Pick to match the site colour code or just for visibility.

Q: Can the switch still be turned on with the lever fitted?
Only when the padlock is out. With a padlock in place through the lever hole, the switch handle is physically blocked from rotating back to ON.

Q: Why do mining and heavy-duty sites require lockouts on battery isolators?
Lock-out tag-out procedures (LOTO) are mandated under AS 4024 and most mine site safety plans. When anyone works on the vehicle's electrical system the battery has to be isolated AND locked so no one can accidentally re-energise the circuit. The lockout lever turns an ordinary isolator into a lockable one.

Q: Does fitting it modify the switch?
No. The lever installs on the switch's existing mounting footprint with no drilling, no re-wiring, and no permanent change to the switch itself. Removing the lever returns the switch to original.

Q: Do I need one per vehicle?
One per isolator you want to lock out. Vehicles with dual-battery setups often run two isolators and need two levers. Keep a spare if the vehicle is in regular LOTO use because levers get dropped and lost on site.

Q: What else do I need for a complete LOTO kit?
A padlock sized to the lever hole, a LOTO tag (hang-tag with worker name and date), and a hasp if more than one person needs to lock out at once. The lever is the mechanical anchor; the padlock and tag complete the procedure.
