A two-position bolt-down fuse holder that runs one incoming feed to two separately fused circuits, wired as a bus bar. Takes MEGA / AMG fuses from 40A up to 500A, so it covers auxiliary battery inputs, solar controller feeds, DC-DC output legs, or a winch main. Fits caravans, camper builds, 4WD dual-battery systems and boat helms where two heavy circuits need protecting off a single supply.

The holder bolts down through its base with M8 studs at each fuse position, taking standard ring terminals for the incoming feed and each outgoing circuit. A cover clips over the live bus bar and fuses once it's wired in to shield the terminals from accidental contact. MEGA / AMG is a shared bolt-down fuse standard, so any brand's MEGA fuse fits.

Size each fuse to the cable it protects, not the load. Undersized cable behind an oversized fuse is a fire risk. The holder is rated 32V DC, which covers 12V and 24V DC systems. Not for 48V.

Sizing up

Need to fuse more than two circuits off one feed? The four-way version adds a spare position in the same bus-bar layout:

  • Bus-bar layout — one feed, two fused positions
  • Compact footprint — for one or two heavy circuits
  • Cover included — shields live terminals once wired
  • MEGA / AMG standard — any brand's fuse fits

Fuse compatibility

Fuse type: MEGA / AMG bolt-down

Positions: 2 fused

Range: 40A–500A (fuse-dependent)

Voltage: Up to 32V DC

Q: What's a MEGA / AMG fuse?
MEGA (also sold as AMG in some ranges) is a bolt-down, stud-mount fuse standard used for high-current DC main feeds and heavy branch circuits, bigger and higher-rated than a blade or MIDI fuse. It's a shared industry form factor, so any brand's MEGA/AMG fuse fits a MEGA-rated holder like this one.

Q: Does it come with fuses?
No. MEGA fuses are sold separately so you can match the amperage to your circuit.

Q: Should I get this two-way or the four-way version?
Get this two-way holder if you've only got one or two heavy circuits to fuse off one feed. If you need to protect up to four separate circuits, or want a built-in spare fuse position, the four-way version uses the same bus-bar layout with more room to grow.

Q: Is there a spare fuse position?
No. This two-way holder only has the two working positions. If you want a built-in spare slot for a backup fuse, the four-way version has one unwired position for that.

Q: What amperage MEGA fuse should I use?
Size the fuse to the circuit it protects, not the holder itself. MEGA fuses are available from around 40A up to 500A, and the right amperage depends on the cable size and load downstream. Undersized cable behind an oversized fuse is a fire risk, so size the fuse to protect the cable, not just the load.

Q: Can I use this on a 24V system?
Yes. MEGA fuses are rated 32V DC, which covers 12V and 24V DC systems with margin. It's not rated for 48V DC systems.

Q: What's the cover for?
The cover shields the live bus bar and fuse terminals from accidental contact once the holder's wired in.

Q: How do I mount it?
It bolts down through the base. Check clearance for the cover before final positioning.

Q: Can I mix fuse brands?
Yes. MEGA/AMG is a standardised fuse form factor, so any brand's MEGA fuse fits a MEGA-rated holder like this one.
