An add-a-circuit piggy-back tap that plugs into a spare Micro2 blade fuse slot and gives you one extra independently-fused output on a pigtail wire. Runs dash-cam wiring, phone-charger installs, tyre-pressure monitor feeds and small accessory loads off a factory Micro2 slot without cutting any OEM wiring. Fits later-model 4WDs, utes, caravans and campers where the factory fuse box uses Micro2 (also written MICRO2 or APT) blade fuses.

Two Micro2 blade positions sit on top of the tap. The upper takes the OEM fuse pulled from the borrowed slot, keeping the factory circuit protected at its original rating. The lower takes a second Micro2 blade fuse sized to your accessory's own draw. A short pigtail wire exits the tap for the accessory connection. Both positions accept any Micro2 blade fuse from 3A to 30A, rated to 32V DC across 12V and 24V vehicle systems.

⚠ Check before install: pick your borrowed slot deliberately. A constant-live slot means your accessory draws power even with the key out and can flatten the starter battery over a few days. An ignition-switched slot only powers your accessory with the key on. Match the slot to what your accessory needs, and never up-rate the OEM fuse position. The factory sized that circuit's wiring for its original ceiling.

Keep the OEM fuse at its factory rating in the upper position. Fuse the lower position to your accessory's actual current draw, not the top of the cable's capacity. Not for 48V systems (needs a 58V-rated fuse holder) and not for loads above 30A (run those on an inline holder wired direct to the battery).

Other sizes in the range

Same piggy-back design in the larger fuse families. Pick the size that matches your vehicle's factory fuse box.

  • Piggy-back tap — no wire cutting, no OEM rewiring
  • Dual Micro2 slots — OEM fuse up top, accessory below
  • 3A to 30A range — Micro2 fuses across every common rating
  • 32V DC rated — safe on 12V and 24V systems
  • Compact footprint — fits tight dash and loom spaces

Q: What's a Micro2 fuse, and how is it different from Mini or Standard blade?
Micro2 (also written MICRO2 or APT Micro) is the smallest of the three common automotive blade fuse families, smaller than Mini (ATM) and much smaller than Standard (ATC/ATO). It suits tight spaces like modern dash looms and compact accessory circuits. The three sizes aren't interchangeable, check which one your circuit actually uses before ordering.

Q: What amperage range does this holder take?
Micro2 fuses are available from 3A up to 30A, industry-wide. Fuse to the accessory's actual current draw, not the top of that range.

Q: Is this waterproof?
No, this holder suits protected environments (inside a dash, fuse box or dry enclosure), not exposed engine-bay or marine installs. For a sealed inline holder, look at our waterproof standard blade range instead.

Q: Can I use this on a 24V system?
Yes. Micro2 fuses are rated to 32V DC, which covers 12V and 24V systems. They're not rated for 48V systems.

Q: How do I mount it?
It can be run inline in the loom, or mounted with screws or adhesive to a solid surface near the circuit it protects (fixings not included).

Q: Does it come with a fuse?
No, fuses are sold separately so you can match the rating to your specific circuit.

Q: Will a Mini blade fuse fit this holder?
No. Mini (ATM) fuses are a different size to Micro2 and won't seat properly, using the wrong size risks a poor connection and intermittent power. Check your fuse's size before buying replacements.

Q: How do I know if a Micro2 fuse has blown?
Most Micro2 fuses have a small clear window over the element, hold it to the light and look for a broken strip inside. If in doubt, test with a multimeter across the fuse terminals with the circuit live.
