A matched pair of universal mounting plates that fits the National Luna dual-colour awning LED to any flat exterior panel. Positions the light where you want it on a canopy wall, a camper side, a trailer or a 4WD rear panel. Powder-coated black so the hardware disappears behind the light body.

Both plates are 3mm aluminium, laser-cut and formed in our Perth workshop. The light-side face is drilled to match the National Luna light's factory screw pattern. The panel-side face takes standard M5 or #10 self-tappers for alloy, timber, steel or fibreglass. Left and right plates come as a matched pair so the light sits square to the panel.

The light is not included. Screws and fixings aren't included either, because the right fastener depends on what you're mounting into. Pick stainless or coated screws rated for exterior use so they don't rust the powder-coat around them, and use rivnuts on thin fibreglass or alloy panels so the thread doesn't strip over time.

Q: What light does this fit?
A: It's cut for the National Luna dual-colour awning LED (the White/Yellow version). The hole spacing matches that light's factory screw pattern.

Q: Does it come with the light?
A: No. The brackets are sold on their own; the light is a separate purchase from National Luna.

Q: Is this one bracket or a pair?
A: One pair. Left and right so the light sits square on the panel.

Q: What are they made of?
A: 3mm aluminium with a powder-coat black finish. Light enough not to add weight to a canopy or roof, tough enough for exterior mounting.

Q: Why aluminium rather than steel?
A: Aluminium doesn't rust, which matters on something bolted to an exterior panel through salt-spray country. Powder-coat gives the black finish and adds a second corrosion layer on top.

Q: Are screws included?
A: No, and that's deliberate. The right screw depends on what you're mounting into. A canopy wall wants a different fastener to a steel toolbox or a fibreglass camper.

Q: What screws should I use?
A: M5 or #10 self-tappers in most cases. Pick stainless or coated screws rated for exterior use so they don't rust the powder-coat around them. For soft panels (fibreglass, thin alloy) use rivnuts and bolts rather than self-tappers so the thread doesn't strip.

Q: Can I mount the light directly without these plates?
A: Only if the panel is already flat and the light's own lugs can grab it. These plates give you a flat landing on a curved or uneven panel, and they space the light slightly off the surface so water runs behind it rather than sitting against the body.

Q: Will they fit other awning lights?
A: Only if the other light has the exact National Luna hole spacing. The plates aren't drilled for generic lights, which is why we call them National Luna plates specifically.

Q: What's the difference between this plate and the Jayco-specific one?
A: This is the universal pair, drilled for the National Luna light's holes and a flat surface mount on any panel. The Jayco plate is cut to fit a specific Jayco camper mounting point as well as the light. Pick universal for canopies, 4WD panels and non-Jayco campers; pick Jayco for a Jayco-specific install.

Q: Can you fit them for me?
A: Yes, our Perth workshop can bolt them on while your canopy or vehicle is in for other work. Book an install slot or bring the vehicle in for a quick fit.
