A 19mm panel-mount switch with a metal body, integrated LED, and a latching push action. Presses on, presses off. Fits 4WD dash panels, marine helms, caravan control boxes and canopy control panels through a 19mm cutout with a rear locking nut.

Body is IP67-sealed against dust and washdown. Contacts are single-pole double-throw (SPDT), rated to 7A at 12V DC. Five colour-coded flying leads exit the rear through a plug body: white for the switch feed, red and black for the LED positive and earth, blue for normally-closed and green for normally-open. LED options cover Blue, Green, Red and White on the black-body latching variants, plus a silver-body momentary variant.

Contacts are rated for switching, not for direct high-current loads. Run a fridge, winch, spotlight or compressor through a relay and use this switch to control the relay coil. Wire the harness with a small in-line fuse at the source to protect the switch and the load.

Pairs with

  • Latching action — press on, press again for off
  • Metal body — machined housing with IP67 seal
  • Illuminated LED — Blue, Green, Red or White options
  • Momentary variant — silver body with white LED
  • SPDT contacts — normally-open and normally-closed outputs
  • 5-pin harness — colour-coded flying leads via plug body
  • 19mm panel cutout — fits standard anti-vandal blank

Q: What does IP67 actually mean?
IP67 is the ingress protection rating. The switch is fully dust-tight and can be temporarily submerged in water up to 1 metre for 30 minutes without failing. It is not rated for continuous submersion but shrugs off hose-down cleaning, spray from tyres, and heavy rain on an exposed dash.

Q: What does latching mean and how is it different from momentary?
A latching switch stays in whatever position it was last pressed. Press once for on, press again for off. A momentary switch only carries current while the button is held down and springs back to off the moment it is released. The Blue, Green, Red and White LED variants on black bodies are latching; the Silver-body White LED variant is momentary.

Q: What does SPDT mean and why does this switch have five wires?
SPDT stands for single-pole double-throw. One input feed can be routed to one of two output legs. The blue wire is the normally-closed output (current flows through until you press), and the green wire is the normally-open output (current flows through when you press). White is the input feed. Red and black run the LED positive and earth separately.

Q: Can I run a fridge, winch or compressor directly through this switch?
No. The contacts are rated to 7A at 12V DC. That is enough to switch a small LED strip or a relay coil, but not the 20 to 500A loads a winch, large inverter, fridge compressor start current, or air compressor pulls. Wire the switch to a relay coil and let the relay carry the load current.

Q: Does the switch include the wiring harness?
No. The 5-pin prewired harness is sold separately. You can also solder to the terminals directly if preferred.

Q: Can I use one of these as a horn button or a starter button?
The momentary variant (Silver body, White LED) is the right choice for a horn button, starter push, or any pulse-input use where the circuit only stays live while you press. The four latching variants stay latched on until pressed a second time, so they suit fridge on/off, work light on/off, aux circuit toggles.

Q: What panel thickness does it fit?
The threaded shaft accepts a panel thickness of roughly 1 to 10mm secured by the rear locking nut. A 19mm-diameter hole through the panel is required. A step drill or Q-drill leaves the cleanest edge.

Q: Is it OK on a 24V system?
The switch contacts are rated for 12V and 24V DC service, but the LED runs on 12V. On a 24V system, wire the LED through a 12V regulator or add a series resistor sized for 24V to protect the LED.

Q: Which LED colour should I pick?
Colour is personal choice for panel appearance. White and blue read as neutral status indicators, red typically flags critical circuits (fuel pump, kill switch, emergency circuits), and green usually indicates a live output (winch power, work light, fridge on). Match the colour to what makes sense at a glance on the dash.

Q: Are the contacts plated for corrosion resistance?
Yes. The terminal contacts and switch mechanism are plated to resist corrosion in the wet-weather environments this switch is used in.
