A sealed AGM deep cycle battery that stores 105Ah of usable capacity and still turns 780 cold cranking amps for engine starting. Runs fridges, LED camp lights, water pumps and 12V inverters off the deep cycle side; cranks engines and powers winches off the CCA side. Fits dual battery systems in 4WDs, caravans, motor homes, boats and camper trailers.

The sealed dry cell AGM construction mounts in any orientation. Upright, on its side, or completely inverted all work, so it fits tight canopy and under-seat installations where a conventional flooded battery would gas and vent. Fire-retardant ABS casing holds up to vibration and heat. Standard SAE automotive post terminals sit on top at 213mm total height. External case measures 305mm long by 168mm wide by 207mm tall and weighs 27kg.

Charge at 10.5A minimum, 30A maximum, and keep ambient temperature under 65°C to preserve cycle life. Match a dual-purpose AGM charger profile. Do not use a lithium charge profile and do not pair this battery with a lithium bank in parallel. Both damage the cells over time.

Install in any orientation. Upright, side, or inverted all work. Fits standard battery boxes and most Toyota, Nissan and Ford OEM battery trays. If replacing an existing starter battery under the bonnet, verify terminal polarity matches: positive on the left when viewed from the terminal end.

Torque the terminal clamps to 8 to 10 Nm. Over-torque strips the lead posts; under-torque causes voltage drop and heat under load. Clean posts and clamps with a wire brush before fitting, then coat with battery-terminal grease once connected.

Run 8 AWG (8mm²) cable minimum for a 30A charging feed from the alternator or a DC-DC charger, fused at 40A within 300mm of the positive terminal. Size heavier loads (inverters, winches) to their draw and fuse accordingly at the source. Pair with an AGM-profile DC-DC charger for vehicle charging and an AGM mains charger for bench top-ups.

Dual-purpose AGM for cranking and deep cycle duty
4WDs, caravans, motor homes, boats, camper trailers
Dual battery systems and auxiliary installations
Multi-orientation installation under bonnet or in canopies
24V systems — requires two batteries in series
Parallel with lithium — chemistry mismatch, damages cells

Q: What does AGM mean?
Absorbent Glass Mat. The electrolyte is held in glass-fibre mats between the plates instead of free-flooded, so the battery stays sealed and will not spill. AGM batteries can mount in any orientation and do not need venting the way flooded ones do.

Q: What is the difference between a deep cycle and a cranking battery?
A deep cycle battery stores energy for long slow discharges, running a fridge, lights and pumps overnight. A cranking battery delivers a short high-current burst to start an engine. This SSB is dual-purpose, so it does both: 105Ah of deep-cycle capacity and 780CCA of cranking current.

Q: What is reserve capacity?
Reserve Capacity (RC) is how many minutes the battery holds a 25A continuous discharge before dropping to 10.5V. 225 minutes means it will run a steady 25A load (roughly a 300W inverter) for about 3 hours 45 minutes before needing a charge.

Q: Can I mount this battery on its side?
Yes. The sealed AGM dry cell construction means it can be installed upright, sideways, or completely inverted. Fits tight canopy, under-seat and side-mount battery boxes where a flooded battery would not work.

Q: Can I use this battery under the bonnet?
Yes. The sealed design handles under-bonnet heat and vibration. Keep ambient temperature under 65°C and leave a few millimetres clearance for cable terminal access.

Q: What charger profile should I set?
Use an AGM profile. Max charge current is 30A, minimum 10.5A. Do not use a lithium or flooded-only profile. A DC-DC charger with an AGM setting handles vehicle-to-battery charging; a mains AGM charger handles bench charging.

Q: What size cable and fuse do I need?
For a 30A main feed from the alternator or DC-DC, run 8 AWG (8mm²) cable minimum and fuse at 40A within 300mm of the positive terminal. For heavier accessory loads (inverters, winches), size cable to the load and fuse accordingly at the source.

Q: Can I connect two of these in parallel?
Yes. Use matched batteries (same age, same state of charge, same model), equal-length cables between them, and a shared fuse or isolator feeding the load. Never parallel an AGM with a flooded or lithium battery.

Q: What terminals does it use?
Standard automotive SAE post (same as a car battery). Positive on the left when viewed from the terminal end, negative on the right. Standard battery clamps fit directly.

Q: What is the warranty?
3 years against manufacturing defects, backed by SSB.
