An angled steel bracket that holds a small round plastic 7-pin trailer socket at a downward angle so the lead can't drag or snag the drawbar. Fits standard drawbar or rear-bar mounting, with two side holes for self-tappers or bolts. Common on box trailers, boat trailers, caravans and camper trailers running the small round plastic socket.

The plate is 67mm wide by 52mm deep by 32mm tall and ships in zinc-plated steel for corrosion resistance. The right-angle bend puts the socket face vertical so the plug sits straight when connected, and the central cutout accepts the socket body with the socket's own retaining screws fitted through the flange.

Fits the small round plastic socket body only. Metal small round sockets and the large round or 7-pin flat sockets need the matching bracket for their body shape. Use M5 or M6 fasteners into drilled holes, or self-tappers into sheet metal.

  • Angled plate — holds the socket face vertical so the lead can't drag
  • Zinc-plated steel — corrosion-resistant for outdoor towing use
  • Pre-drilled holes — bolts straight to the drawbar or rear bar
  • Central cutout — socket body sits flush with its own flange screws
  • Compact plate — 67 × 52 × 32mm footprint fits tight drawbar runs

Not for small round METAL sockets — use the matching metal-socket bracket
Not for large round or 7-pin flat sockets — different body shape, different bracket

Q: What's a 'small round plastic' trailer socket?
The common 7-pin plastic trailer socket with a round face about 50mm across, sold alongside the Narva 82052BL and equivalents. If the socket on your trailer is the small plastic one with a hinged plastic cap, this bracket matches it.

Q: Will it fit a small round METAL socket?
No. The metal small round socket has a different body shape and a different mounting footprint. Use the angled bracket for small round metal sockets instead.

Q: Will it fit a large round or 7-pin flat socket?
No. Large round and 7-pin flat sockets have their own matching brackets; this one is specific to the small round plastic body.

Q: What does the 'angled' or 'right-angle' bracket actually do?
The plate bends 90 degrees so the socket face sits vertical when the bracket is bolted to a horizontal surface (like a drawbar flange). That keeps the plug sitting straight when it's connected and stops the lead dragging.

Q: Is it steel or plastic?
Steel, with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance. 'Plastic' in the name refers to the socket it holds, not the bracket itself.

Q: What fasteners do I need?
Two M5 or M6 bolts and nuts if drilling through, or self-tapping screws if going into sheet metal. The bracket uses two pre-drilled side holes.

Q: How is the socket itself fixed to the bracket?
The socket body passes through the central cutout and is held by its own two retaining screws through the socket flange, same as if it were bolted directly to a flat panel.

Q: How big is it?
67mm wide, 52mm deep, 32mm tall — the full footprint on the drawbar is 67 by 52mm with the socket face set back on the vertical leg.

Q: Where does it usually get mounted?
On the drawbar top plate or rear bar, somewhere the plug can hang clear of the ground without catching on anything. On a box or boat trailer, that's usually alongside the hitch; on a caravan rear bar, it's often beside the breakaway cable mount.

Q: Got the metal-socket version?
Yes, the angled bracket for small round metal sockets is in our range as a direct sibling.
